The Puma hunts for Shrikes [Closed]

Shrikepaw hadn't heard from Honeypaw in a while. Either she was too busy judging him from the medicine den, or something. He didn't like it everything the she-cat did irritated him. The tom paced back and forth in the high pines. Wondering on what he needed to do what he needed to prove to her that he knew better. To prove to Crowstar that the leader's sacrifice wasn't in vain. A growl escaped him as soon as the border scent markers hit him. Stupid shadowclan.. Stupid border getting in his way.

Pumapaw was fed up with being an apprentice. She felt like a servant Clean the elders den, Pumapaw. Go fetch herbs for Silentpaw. You're back from training?! Well, the clan needs feeding, go get some prey. The she-cat's pelt prickled angrily as she stormed through the marshes, tail dragging through the dirt. Why should she do all the work? Why couldn't the warriors help out for once? Stupid. selfish warriors. Pumapaw continued to grumble, pausing occasionally to glance up at the trees as the birds chirped their stupid, repetative and annoying songs.

The scent of SkyClan drew nearer, and the russet furred she-cat found herself quickening her pace. It wasn't that she wanted anything to do with SkyClan, but she found herself wanting to get to the Highpine. Maybe, she wanted to take out her anger on someone, she didn't really know. Pumapaw just found herself wanting to get to the border.

Skidding to a halt, Pumapaw glanced around Highpine. She let out a huff of annoyance, almost disappointed that there was nothing to dig her claws into. At the snap of a twig, Pumapaw flung herself into a bush. Mentally, she cursed herself for being so cowardly. The apprentice, peered through the bush, trying to see what had caused the twig to snap. Almost immediately, she saw a SkyClan apprentice and the fur along her nape begun to rise up again. Pumapaw lashed her tail angrily. This day jus keeps getting better...

With a hiss, she jumped out of the bushes launching herself at the other cat. Pumapaw dug her claws into their chest, using all her force to topple him, smashing the tom's head into the ground. The russet furred she-cat jumped off the tom, the instant he hit the ground, wanting to be ready for her opponent's next move. "Your foot was over the border, sorry!" she hissed tail lashing behind her.

Pumapaw used Run-and-Tackle on Shrikepaw dealing 9 damage and costing 10 stamina

Shrikepaw let out a growl as he was tackled to the ground by another cat. So what if his foot was on the border, it wasn't as if he was crossing it! The black and white apprentice turned and jumped on top of the shadowclan apprentice pinning Pumapaw to the ground.

Shrikepw used Leap and Hold dealing 6 damage, -10 SP. Pumapaw is stunned for two turns.

"Arrrgggh!" yelled Pumapaw as she felt Shrikepaw's weight on top of her. She squirmed uncomfortably beneath him, spitting and hissing like a spoilt kit. Get off of me! I don't want to smell of fox-dung!" she spat, attempting to wriggle out of the other apprentice's grasp.

"If anyone smells like fox dung its you! Stinky Shadowclanners!" Shrikepaw growled as he pinned the apprentice. Pressing more of his weight into Pumapaw. He wasn't going to let go anytime soon, or at least not letting go was the plan.

Shrikepaw continued leap and Hold dealing 6 damage. Pumapaw is stunned for one more turn.

Shrikepaw had Pumapaw held tight against the ground The ShadowClan apprentice was now beginning to feel a prickle of fear, as she realised that she wouldn't be getting out of his grasp any time soon. Her amber eyes darted around her surroundings to see if there was something she could use, but wat was the point? She was stuck beneath this disgusting SkyClan tom.

Shrikepaw continued to hold the apprentice dealing once last bit of damage. He couldn't continue to hold the apprentice. His energy to hold this apprentice was gone. Pumapaw would break free any second. He just had to hold on a little longer.

Pumapaw panted heavily, knowing she likely wouldn't win this fight. Her body ached and her blood stained the ground. However, if the russet apprentice had been taught anything, it was to fight with honour and to never give up. Her amber eyes bored deep into Shrikepaw, anger and fear clouding them. She couldn't run, he'd catch her.

Her only strength would be surprise, maybe she could catch him off guard and attack him? Either way it was worth a shot. Pumapaw dug her paw into the ground, picking up as much mud as she could. Then, she smirked at Shrikepaw and flung it as hard as she could at the tom. It landed on him with a splat. Pumapaw laughed loudly, then bounded forward, ready to attack again.
