Daisypaw hunts with her brother

Daisypaw saw her chance it was almost morning and all the cats where asleeep except for this adventurous apprentice. She got bored waiting around all day taking care of elders and playing with siblings. Today was the day she was going to go out on her own and make her own hunting patrol. She went over to the apprentice den and pawed her brother duskpaw. "hey duskpaw wake up I want to hunt with you." she whispered and left the den. She sat down outside the apprentice den and waited. Just then she saw a kit comping her way.

Spottedkit- "what are you doing Daisypaw." she asked. To her it looked like her friend was leaving the camp.

Daisypaw- "i couldn't sleep spottedkit so I came out here to think you can go back to your mom." she said hoping that the lie would get her friend away from her.

Spottedkit-"well ok Daisypaw." she said believing what her friend said. She was really tired so she went back to the nusery to sleep.

Duskpaw raced out of his den after his sister, his fur all messy but he was just happy to spend time with her. Since they were both apprentices, they were very close, unlike him with some of his other siblings. "Where to, Daisypaw?"

"well I was wondering if u wanted to hunt with me the food is low and season is getting worse." she told her brother.

"Sure, how about we go to Sandy hollow!" Duskpaw meowed, thinking about all the fat squirrels they might be able to catch.

"good idea". she meowed. " do we get a adult for permission?" she asked. she knew if they left without telling anyone they would get yelled at.

"Nah, if we go quietly, I doubt anyone will notice." He spoke with a cheeky grin at the thought.

"ok let's go." she said then ran out the camp to the sandy hollow an sat waiting.

At the sandy hollow, Duskpaw saw a fat wood pigeon pecking at some seeds. It was the perfect opportunity. "Watch me." He whispered, crawling on his belly before he pounced! But he missed, the bird flying off in a flurry.

Daisypaw watched her brother and when he didn't catch it she snickered. "i don't think I want to hunt like that." she laughed. She took a sniff and fallowed the sent of squirrel. When she saw it she pounced and killed it with one blow. "thats what you do brother." she said through the fur she was carrying.

Duskpaw wrinkled his nose at his sister, though he couldn't lie, her form and execution had been great. "Beginner's luck." He meowed, before heading to another patch of reeds to look for more prey.

OOC: lol I'm not a beginner I love hunting so I do it a lot :D

Daisypaw loved the come t her brother gave her. "your more of a newbie than me duskpaw so watch your mouth." she said laughing then caught the smell of a mouse. She stalked it until she was close enough then leaped. She killed it with one blow and put it down with the squirrel.
