Rockkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Swiftstep hopped up onto the Tallrock with a prideful gaze. Windclan was growing bigger with every kit being given their apprentice names. Today he'd be addressing the clan for a lucky kit's apprentice ceremony. The brown tom regained his composure and returned to looking serious. Deep inside, however, he still couldn't stop feeling joyous. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" Swiftstep called with an authoritative tone.

Walking up to the Tallrock, Rockkit sat down, and wrapped his bushy tail around his white and grey paws. He assumed that it was his ceremony, seeing as though he was of age, so he sat with his head up and a smile on his muzzle as his gaze sat upon Swiftstep.

The brown tom looked down at Rockkit with a pleased gaze before continuing, "We all gather here today to make one of our kits an apprentice. Rockkit, please step forward." Once the tom-kit did, the deputy nodded approvingly with a small smile and then began to speak again, "Rockkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Rockpaw. Nightheart will be your mentor. She's a very skilled warrior. I know that she will pass down everything she knows on to you."

Fluffing his fur up proudly, Rockpaw looked around for the cat whom he recognized the name with her face. Padding over to the she-cat, he touched her nose, a smile on his muzzle. "I can't wait to begin training with you!" the younger tom mewed, excited for everything that was to come.
