Jem's/Blossomkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Swiftstep hopped up onto the Tallrock with a prideful twinkle in his amber gaze. Another kit was to be apprenticed today. She will train to soon become a warrior Windclan would be proud of. The brown tom's face morphed to a serious one before he continued. He was really excited for this she-kit as he was the one to bring her into the clan. Despite sounding like one, this was no ordinary apprentice ceremony. This would also be a renaming ceremony. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" Swiftstep called with an authoritative tone.

Jem blinked as she heard the call and for a moment was confused on it. She was still adjusting to clan life so hearing the call she pulled herself to her white and brown paws coming from the nursery she sat down quietly her dilute ginger brown and white tail curling over white paws. Her pale grass green eyes looking up at Swiftstep,the tom whom had brought her here.

The deputy looked down upon the young she-kit before he continued on, "We all gather here today to make a kit an apprentice. Jem, please step forward." Once the small female did, the deputy nodded approvingly and then began to speak again, "Jem, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. However, unlike the rest of your peers, your path to Warriorhood begins with the granting of a new name. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Blossompaw. Since I am ready to take on a new apprentice, I will be your mentor. I will pass on all my knowledge onto you."

Swiftstep hopped down from the Tallrock and touched his nose to young Blossompaw's as a solid end to the ceremony. "Your training will start tomorrow at dawn. Be sure to rest little darlin'." The deputy smiled gently before walking off to finish some of his camp duties.

Jem blinked quietly as she took a small step forward confused for a moment. She then smiled hearing her new name and smiled some looking to Swiftstep as he said her new name and announced he would be her mentor. She felt a stronger sense of belonging as he stepped forward and pressed his nose against her."a..alright I'll be ready"Blossompaw mewed smiling.
