Sedges thrive where lillies wilt. (Closed)

The predawn light soaked through the SkyClan camp. A silver pelted warrior stalked through the clearing, his tail twitching in irratation as he waited for his newest apprentice to wake up already. He turned to the apprentice's den time and time again, but she still didn't appear. Frustration built under his pelt. Why did his best apprentice have to be taken away to be a medicine cat. It didn't make sense. He sent a green glare up to starclan, but they didn't see it. Instead he wrenched his gaze away and focused on the den until the true dawn light came.

Not a sign.

Frustrated and bitter. Sedgestrike finally padded towards the apprentice's den... then paused, before he pressed on. A rough paw shoving Lilypaw's soft white and black form.
"Get up. It's dawn. In the future, I expect you to be up and awake by now." He hissed silently, before slowly stalking out of the apprentice's den. He huffed as he sat down in the middle of camp, musing over how this apprentice was going to be different then his last. She appeared to be soft... weak... how was he supposed to train that?

Lilypaw flopped over on her side, staring outside the den, and at Sedgestrike, with wide blue eyes. "Okay!" She mewed, slowly getting to her feet and blinking the sleep out of her eyes. "I'll try to wake up earlier!"
Despite Sedgestrike's less-than-warm demeanor, Lilypaw grinned widely. It was her first day of training! This was going to be so much fun...
If only Rippedstar was there to see it.
The young white she-cat trotted out of her den, making a beeline towards the fresh-kill pile. She pawed through it for a few moments before she grabbed two pieces of prey, both large squirrels. Lilypaw skipped happily towards Sedgestrike with the squirrels in her jaws. She dropped one at Sedgestrike's paws and settled down to eat the other, her stomach rumbling in anticipation.

Sedgestrike watched the apprentice leave the apprentice's den with narrowed eyes. When she went straight towards the fresh-kill pile he scoffed irratably and pushed the squirrel she had placed in front of him away.
"I've already eaten." He stated bluntly, looking down on her with obvious dissapproval, "a true warrior is up before the sun, and ready by the time it rises." He stood and padded towards the camp entrance. "When your done, come out here." He ordered as he slipped through the entrance of camp and leapt onto a large sturdy tree.

He leapt up it easily, with little thought as to where he had to place his paws. Knowing instinctually by now how to climb with the least amount of effort. He looked down towards the camp entrance and watched it with intent while his thoughts bounced around his head. Rippedstar wouldn't be too happy if he treated his daughter too aggressively. Even in StarClan he would likely feel the tom's dissapproval. The idea sent a ripple of unease down his back.

His attention was caught by the young she-cat finally coming out, and he sat up straight while staring down at her.
"About time. Now climb." He ordered, without giving her a single instruction as to how, wanting to see how she would do on her own.
