Sedges can't be contained (closed)

Sedgepaw glared in disgust at the elder's bedding. He had spent the full day clearing out and taking care of them. The useless old fleabags. He looked back towards camp with a growl, then stalked through the entrance. He wasn't going to miss all of the daylight trapped in that place. He was going to be a warrior, he needed to train and do more than collect imaginary moss and tend to forgotten old cats no matter what his mentor thought. He looked around to observe his surroundings. A grin on his muzzle as he spotted a good tree. Sturdy, and with large branches near the base. The silver-furred warrior readied himself to climb, then leapt. His dark tabby spots and stripes a flash of movement as he lunged his way up to a low branch with quick decisive movements.

The branch swayed slightly under his claws as he lunged to it and grappled on. His claws dug as deep as they could into the bark, but not deep enough to cut through the ice within the bark. His moment of triumph quickly turned into shock as he felt his body slip on some ice and he landed in the snow beneath the large branch. He hissed as he poked his head out from the snow, shaking his paws off with disgust. How did he lose his grip? He looked back at the tree bitterly. He would do this, he was a Skyclan cat for star clans sake! He could scale a tree!

Echoflame was a warrior, that much was true. She had an apprentice, as well. And yet, she was still the age of most of the cats in the apprentice den. It felt weird being in the warrior's den. She couldn't complain, of course. However, a walk would do her good. So she walked alone and made her way to Sedgepaw. Watching from afar, she noted what he was doing wrong. Quietly, the spotted she-cat walked up to the tom, looking down at him as he laid in the snow. "You need to jump higher," she said cooly, her green eyes blinking at him.

Sedgepaw turned his green eyes to her, his narrowed in anger at being seen in such a rediculous state. He stood and shook the snow off his fur with a grunt. Her spotted fur singled her out as that new warrior strutting around. That one with the useless brother that still clung to the apprentice den. He scoffed and flicked his tail.

"I don't remember asking for your opinion." He mewed arrogantly. Despite this, he tried again. This time gripping higher onto the tree. He paused when he made it to the branch, looking down on the strange she-cat with a cocky expression. "See?" He preened, choosing not to even come back down "I wouldn't be surprised if they just gave me my warrior name already."

Echoflame snorted, turning padding up to the tree and leaping easily halfway up the trunk and using her claws to launch her onto the branch next to Sedgepaw. She lept again onto the branch above him and looked down at the apprentice, grinning. "Just because you can somewhat climb trees doesn't mean you're warrior material, Pricklypaw." She teased before leaping up onto the next branch.

"Excuse me?" Sedgepaw glared at the she-cat as she climbed the tree with skilled ease. He glowered, then jumped after her attempt to get on the same branch. He managed it with careful paw placement before he leapt up onto a higher branch on the other side. Who did this she-cat think she was?
"I can climb trees just as well as any other skyclan cat!" He retorted as he reached a thinner branch. He hadn't even looked down yet, except to check on the other cat... who was definitely a better climber, not that he'd admit it. He grumbled, his ears pinned back in dissatisfaction. When would he be able to scale trees so well? "I bet I can fight better than you." He challenged as he scaled up to the next branch. He was well above the forest floor now.

Echoflame snorted and followed him easily behind. "Yeah, right. I fought the fox that took two of Crowstar's lives. I was made a warrior because I'm a fighting prodige." Echoflame surpassed the tom, gleaming down at him from the top branch of the tree.

The silver tom's eyes widened at her declaration, then he looked away with a scoff. There was no way. He looked back up to where she was now and proceeded to jump up after her.
"Yeah right. A fox? When?" He demanded, curiosity in his eyes despite his tone as he watched Echoflame. "If you're a fighting prodigy, then show me some of your moves."

Echoflame growled, slightly annoyed she would dare lie about the fox that damaged Crowstar. Echoflame glanced to the side at him, and then back at the ground. "Just look at Crowstar's neck. He lost two lives to that fox, the wound was so deep. And, she started to scramble down the tree, calling back up to him. "If you want to fight, you'll have to come on the ground! We wouldn't want your little neck broken from a fall." She leapt the last couple feet and moved to the side, waiting for Sedgepaw to join her.

He tried not to seem overly eager, but he followed her to the ground swiftly. Unwilling to miss a single second of potential learning. He thought about the scar on Crowstar's neck, he'd never really thought about where it had come from before. It made sense, and he found himself more than a little awed at the thought of the she-cat facing down an opponent as fierce sounding like a fox. He puffed up his silver chest proudly.
"Alright then. Now show me." He mewed as he watched her intently. His tail flicking with excitement.

Echoflame grinned, crouching. The warrior looked in one direction, but leapt the other way, using her strong SkyClan cat legs to leap over Sedgepaw, scraping his back with a sheathed paw and landing behind him. Before he could turn around, she swiped her paws and knocked the feet out from under him. She pinned him down with two paws.

(OOC: Let me know if anything he does is too op XD)

Predictably, Sedgepaw fell for the bait. He turned his head to see what she was going to attack and found himself bewildered as she launched over him. His ears flattened when he felt her sheathed paw on his back, but when he was tripped up and pinned he growled. How dare she?
"Good move." He admitted, twisting under her paws with a smirk. Suddenly, he used his hind legs to attempt to unbalance and push her off. The moment one of her paws released he tore out from under her then brutally barrelled in slammed them both to the ground, her in a weaker pin. "What're you gonna do now?" He asked, his tail lashing confidently.

(ooc; Echo is intentionally OP for a personal character plot. She does have weaknesses tho. Just gotta find them ;) )

Echoflame smirked. "I let you do that!" she lied, slamming her backpaws into his stomach and baffling his face at the same time with her front paws, hard. Immediately after she leapt ontop of his spine and shoving him face-first into the snow.

"Oh yeah?" The silver tom gave her an incredulous look at that, but then he felt himself out of breath as she slammed her back paws into him. He coughed, rearing back when her paws met his face and hopped away to rebalance himself. His tail flicked as he looked for her, bemused for only a split second until he realised she was above him. Or, on top of him now as he laid in the snow with a grunt.

Sedgepaw growled, twisting his body sideways and back in an attempt to loosen her from her hold. His spine arched under her as he tried to flip over, but failed under the weight of the larger cat and accidentally made his problem even worse as the black and white speckled she-cat's weight pressed down more. He glared at her his head visible after the twist and decided to take a risk by snapping his head forward to head-butt her. He blinked stars from his vision as he connected with something, but was unable to fully see while he tried to get over his daze.

Echoflame hoofed as Sedgepaw took her breath away by head butting her chest. That little turnd! She muttered as she leapt away and backed up, glaring at the tom. We better stop before you give yourself a concussion, little one." she huffed, turning and licking the side of her chest, where a bruise was forming.

Sedgepaw stood as he blinked the stars from his eyes. He glared at Echoflame for a moment before he smirked and tried to brush it off casually, though he swayed a bit as he walked.
"Pff, like a concussion could stop me." He mewed confidently as he padded forward, then promptly walked into a tree. He blinked in confusion, staring up at the branches as he felt his way around it. His paws quickly gave in as he tripped over a root and he glowered unimpressedly at the tree. "Fine."
