A sister's meal

Maplepaw set down enjoying the sun shine of Newleaf, together with her sister Dewpaw. When she felt hungry she decided to get some prey for her and her sister. She walked to the Fresh Kill Pile and found a nice fat squirrel for her and Dewpaw to eat. She padded back to her sister who was still laying and enjoying the sun and dropped the squirrel before her " I thought we could share a meal together?". She sat down and began to eat. " so did something interesting happen when I was on a border patrol?" she knew her sister had been in the camp al day, she was probably going with the evening patrol, maybe something juicy happened while she was gone?

'No, nothing' Dewkit responded. 'Only that it is boiling hot in here. And that I was a little jealous and curious about the patrol!' She smiled at Maplepaw, showing that it wasn't meant mean or anything, even though she knew that she could share anything and say anything to Maplepaw. She trusted her. But sometimes she wishes that she could someone else as much as Maplepaw. 'Did anything happen on the patrol?' she asked.

Strolling into camp with a frog between his teeth, Daisypaw dropped the piece of prey on the freshkill pile and let out a yawn. This would probably be one of his last patrols as an apprentice, and he couldn't wait to become a warrior. It seemed like ages since he'd become an apprentice and he knew that he was due to be taken to the moonstone any day now.

Looking around the camp, the white and ginger tom spotted two of ShadowClan's newer members, Maplepaw and her sister Dewpaw. "Hello," the handsome apprentice mewed with a smile on his muzzle as he trotted over to the two of them, deciding he might as well hang out with some other cat than just his mentor. "How are you two doing?" he spoke, sitting down in front of the two she-cats and placing his tail neatly over his paws.

Maplepaw saw a young handsome tom walking into the camp and towards her and her sister. Who was that? She had never seen him before other wise she would surly remember him. when he said 'hello' she felt like she could fly away. 'how are you two doing?' she heard him say " mhm I..I'm do..doing fine, thank you" what was happening with here? She was supposed to be the least shy one of here siblings! How could she stumble over her words like that? She heard Dewpaw making a sound next to her and almost jumped, she almost forgot she was here. Wait! She almost forgot that her sister was was here? How could she forgot that? Of al the cats? She looked at her sister hoping she could not see that this tom got her helpless.

Dewpaw turned around and saw a handsome cat coming over to them. Was that the cat where so many she-cats are talking about? I mean, he is quite handsome... Dewpaw blushed immediently. 'I-I am doing fine to! Ehm, would like to eat with us? O-only if you wanted!' She smiled as she turned to Maplepaw so that the tom cat wouldn't see her blush. But as she looked at her, het smile slowly disappeared. Maplepaw... Her eyes are stuck on the handsome cat... And she even was shy for a moment! So she has something with that cat to. Dewpaw is shocked. What now? She loved Maplepaw so much, but is Dewpaw really trowing away her shot?

Watching as the sister's seemingly gawked at his appearance, Daisypaw couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in himself. He always loved being looked up to and admired, and who better to adore him then younger she-cats?

Ever so slightly puffing out his chest, a smile sat on the ginger and white tom's muzzle as they stuttered replies to his question. "I'd love to eat with you guys," he purred in reply. After a day of hunting, chatting with his clanmates and having something to fill his empty stomach sounded great.

When Maplepaw heard that the apprentice would 'love' to eat with her and her sister she got the feeling that she did not want to eat at al. Butt not eating would maybe seem bad and Maplepaw wasn't about to blow this first meeting with this extremely handsome cat. " mhm sure you can si...sit with us" she struggled again to come out of her words. She looked back at her sister hoping she would have walked away so she could talk to the tom alone but she she still was there and Maplepaw immediately felt bad that she hoped that her sister would have been gone. Trying to start an conversation without it being to awkward she said with a tin voice " It sure is a nice day in Schadowclan wouldn't you think? I hope the weather stays this good when I go out of camp" she regretted her word directly she already had been out of camp for a border patrol why would she go on patrol twice? This tom... he did something with her that she could not place.

Dewpaw was shocked. Her sister, the one with who she had spent those thousand of hours with and with who she had so much fun, didn't know what to say! She even stuttered a bit! She looked at Maplepaw, then Daisypaw, Maplepaw, Daisypaw, Maplepaw, Daisypaw.

She stopped immediately when she realized that it probably looked really weird.'Well, ummmm...' She didn't know what to say. Say something! Anything! she thought. 'Ummmmm... You- You have cool eyes!' She said. Good job Dewpaw. Now he will think you're weird. You got one chance and you blew it! 'Sorry, t-that probably sounded really weird!' She said fast. She blushed a little and was a little ashamed. But there was still a smile on her face. A sweet smile that never faded, even when Dewpaw was at the worst time of her life. But her smile wasn't creepy, it was more soothing.

Grabbing a frog from the freshkill pile, Daisypaw began to eat as he waited for the two she-cats to reply. Swallowing the frog almost instantaneously, he nodded at Maplepaw's comment. "Yes, the weather is very nice. Hunting today was a breeze and I bet it'll be fine when you go out," the tom mewed and licked his lips, wishing the chewy, sweet would last longer. Turning to Dewpaw, he couldn't help but let out a purr of laughter at her comment about his eyes. "Thanks, I guess," Daisypaw replied trying to not burst out in laughter at how the sister's were acting. While he knew he was somecat to gawk over, they didn't need to act so nervous over him, though he wasn't going to say anything about it, not yet anyway.

O sterclan what was this tom doing to her? Maplepaw felt like she could trow the whole squirrel up she had just eat. Could this be love? She refused to believe that form what she had heard love would be a good thing not something horrible like this, she thought it would be a nice feeling but this felled like a disease that even the best herbs could not heal. She had to get out of her to get into the territory for a walk and fresh air. It felled like the whole of the camp did not have enough air and that the air that was there Daisypaw was stealing away. How could any cat feel good about this? She stood up " I...I am truly sorry I have to go! Mhm I am going on a hunting patrol". And with that she almost ran away. Hoping that the deputy could give her permission to let her go out of camp.

Dewpaw watched her sister run away. Now what? She was alone with a tom-cat that made her feel things in her stomach. She didn't even know his name! She took a deep breath and tried to let it look like she wasn't nervous, which worked quite a lot! More than she expected!
'I should...' She coughed a little when she realized that she was talking in a very high tone. 'I should probably go after her.' Dewpaw said, happy that she could finally speek normally. 'But first I want to know your name. I mean, I heard rumors about you... Don't worry! Good rumors!' She said before whispering 'Gosh I sound really weird today.'
She looked back at the tom-cat. 'Anyway. I didn't really catch your name in any of those, or right now. Soooo, what is it?' She was really curious what it was. It started with a D, for sure! And maybe there was an A in it. A Z, no no no no no, definitely not! Maybe an S? She looked at the handsome cat standing in front of her with a excited and curious look in her eyes.

Surprised by Maplepaw's sudden leaving, Daisypaw watched as the she-cat scampered away, leaving him and Dewpaw alone. "Oh, alright, bye," he muttered as she disappeared out of the camp walls. Turning to look back at Dewpaw, he titled his head ever to slightly at her question. Rumors? Well, he assumed he knew what they were about, but he wasn't going to dwell on those thoughts right now. "My name is Daisypaw," he finally introduced himself. 'I thought she'd never ask,' the apprentice internally smirked to himself.
