Minkkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Jaggedrock for a Clan meeting!" Scorchfang called from atop the tall rock.

Minkkit gathered close with the rest of the clan, she grew shy though. She hoped that this would finally be her apprentice ceremony, all thought mentally she was unsure if she was ready to have all the clan's eyes on her.

"Minkkit, step forward," Scorchfang gently commanded, smiling approvingly when she did so. "You have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. Minkkit, from this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Minkpaw. Tansyheart will be your mentor. I know she will pass down all she has learned to you."

Minkpaw turned her head to the feline named Tansyheart, she approached the warrior and extended her neck forward to touch noses with her newly named mentor. She pulled back and nodded her head at her leader, a soft smile on her lips. "Thank you so much, the both of you." She cooed gently as she couldn't help a purr leave her throat.

Tansyheart smiled widely at her new apprentice, bending slightly to brush noses with Minkpaw. "Congratulations, Minkpaw," she mewed softly. "Be prepared, we're going to start training in the morning. I'm expecting a lot from you." She nodded firmly, still smiling, and turned to the warriors' den.
