Dawnpaw dropped into the hunters crouch. She was creeping up on a mouse. She slithered along the marshy ground , making sure she balanced her weight on all four of her paws. She was about to leap when the mouse noticed her, and it ran off. "Thistles and Thorns!" Dawnpaw cried. All of a sudden, she heard Firestone shouting at her to follow him. She did as she was told and ran behind him, and on the was smelled the unmistakable scent of badger. She stood back as Firestone and Wolfheart attacked the beast. While the badger was distracted, she went behind it and slid under its belly. She then rolled on her back and slashed with all four paws at the badger belly, claws unseathed.

The badger snarled and snapped, it's chase having been interrupted by three other cats. It narrowed it's beady eyes on the little apprentice that had wiggled her way under it's belly. She was too tiny to reach at this angle. Thinking quickly, the beast reared up and slammed it's huge front paw into the nearest major threat's side, knocking the big ginger tabby aside.

Thornpaw was breathing heavily as she stared back at the battling cats. Memories of her brother's broken and bleeding body flashed through her head. Sootpaw died to one of these. Flashes of rake-like claws and the echo of searing pain followed suit. She lost an eye to one too. Her heart was pounding, her blood hot. She couldn't do this, she couldn't---

Yeah, she could.

Thornpaw changed course promptly and let out a passionate screech as she ran full-force at the badger. Using a nearby rock to get a higher foothold before launching herself at the snarling beast's back. She sank her fangs into it's thick hide and raked her claws along it's back as violently as she could.

Firestone hissed when the badger hit him to push him away from its way but the warrior wouldn't be so easily defeated. With a yowl, he rushed toward the huge beast and slashed its belly when the apprentice pinned it down. The blood started to paint the ground under the badger and the ginger tom looked up at Thornpaw. "Keep it down, Thornpaw! The rest of you, attack the badger as much as you can!"

Neatly leaping away from the thrashing Badger, Wolfheart paused for a heartbeat as Thornpaw and Dawnpaw darted into the fray as well. Spitting out a think clump of greasy fur and flesh, the rosetted tom let out a short huff at the displeasing taste that now filled his mouth. How could one creature taste so bad? Shaking his head to clear away the rush of sights and sounds, he let out a short hiss before hurling himself into the ensuing chaos once more. Slipping in front of the Badger with a surprising amount of speed, Wolfheart raked wildly at the striped creature's broad face.
