Hunting With Lizardtail (closed hunting patrol)

Lizardtail was awake early, right after sunset. He was restless, having nightmares of his lost sister, Olivepaw. He stood up and stretched his legs. Tonight was a good night for hunting.

Crowpaw had been feeling the need to do something. He's been going on strolls and talking to kits. He was very shy but that didn't mean he couldn't express himself. He just came back from a late stroll when he saw his mentor getting ready to leave somewhere. He padded up to him. "H-Hello Lizardtail. W-Where are y-you headed?" he asked softly.

Leafpaw saw Lizardtail about to head off. The night air was cool and Tuftpaw was snoring. "Hey, Lizardtail! Are you going on a patrol? Can I come?"

Willowpaw bounced towards the group, a grin on her face. "A patrol? Can I come?"

"Ah, sure," Lizardtail said, a little absentminded. Every night his thoughts raced to his sister, Olivepaw, who was still missing.

Leafpaw bounced happily. She wasn't going to lead the patrol by any means, so she waited.

Crowpaw waited patiently for Lizardtail. He was starting to stare off and imagine a life as a warrior. He'd need to teach himself to be bolder and better at expressing himself.

Willowpaw nudged the warrior gently. Ashpaw and Lizardtail seemed the most affected by Olivepaw's disappearance, and she couldn't blame them. She thought of Olivepaw as the older sister she'd never had. It felt nice to put her faith in someone else- for most of her life, Willowpaw had been the oldest, and the one who had to look out for her younger siblings. But when she was with Olivepaw she could relax.
"Don't worry." She mewed gently. "She'll turn up."
She felt a wave of guilt as the empty words flowed out of her mouth. Was that the best you could manage? A small voice in the back of her mind sneered.
She shook herself and began to lead the way out of camp. "Let's go."

Lizardtail led them out, going for the heart of ShadowClan territory. It had rained recently, meaning more frogs and toads would turn up. Once they were at their destination, Lizardtail flicked his tail to signal that the hunt could begin.

At the flick of Lizardtail's tail, she set off, not straying too far from the group. She spotted a toad. Crouching down, she prepared to leap. She felt a tremble of satisfaction at the slightly clumsy, but fast kill.

Crowpaw looked behind him. He waited for Lizardtail to let them begin hunting. After his mentor gave the signal, Crowpaw set of to find some nice prey for the clan.

Willowpaw quickly trapped a mouse and killed it silently.
She trotted back to Lizardtail happily, her prey swinging from her jaws

Crowpaw had searched for a bit until he spotted a medium sized frog. He carefuly made his way and quickly pounced. He succesfully caught it and quickly killed it. His eyes lit up as he had just caught his first prey. He made his way back to Lizardtail excitedly.
