March's Gathering 2018

A perfectly clear night sky was upon the clearing of the Fourtrees and the Full Moon shone over the trees and the snowy clearing in complete silence. Not even a breeze dared to appear as the Great Rock stood up quietly in its place, waiting quietly the arrival of all the cats from different clans that visited it every night that the moon was complete.

Crowstar lead his clan into the gathering. The black Fluffy leader looked around at the empty clearing. Where were the others? He thought he was a little late? The skyclan leader shrugged and moved into the clearing with a flick of his tail. Once he reached the rock, he jumped up onto the rock, and sat down on the rock and waited for the others.

Mintpaw trailed closely behind the black fluffy tom, her murky green eyes trained on her paws. She had never attended a gathering as an official Medicine Cat Apprentice; she hadn't attended the last gathering because of a cough that had been going around the camp. Unfortunately, before the next gathering, Oceanlight had retired, leaving Mintpaw on her own. Starclan, this was going to be hard.
The taupe tabby gave a small squeak as Crowstar suddenly disappeared. The short she-cat froze and looked around, surprise evident in her expression. They were already in the clearing, and she had nearly bumped into the Great Rock.
The young apprentice peer upwards to see Crowstar looking back. "Oh."

Although coming to the Gathering was one of the last activities Elmcloud actually wanted to participate in, he knew that a little bit of fresh air was definitely needed. After all, he couldn't spend all of his time lingering outside of the Elder's den, right? Quietly padding several tail-lengths behind Crowstar, the ruddy Warrior irritably flicked several clumps of snow away from his fur as he slowly followed his Clan into the empty meeting place. Strange. Elmcloud let out a short little hum, bright gaze following after Crowstar. He had never seen Fourtrees empty like this.

RiverClan entered the clearing in a quiet crowd that dispersed through out the clearing as Ivystar lead them all in. The silver tabby greeted the SkyClan leader with a polite dip of her head before she leapt up the rock in one swift movement.

Swanpaw followed her Clanmates into the Gathering with a facade of confidence. She hadn't quite gotten her real confidence back, but she wasn't about to act like she lacked it at all. No, instead it was simpler to act like nothing had changed. RiverClan was not weak, they were strong - stronger, it seemed, than WindClan and ThunderClan both. The one thing she really noticed as RiverClan reached Fourtrees was that they weren't the first Clan there. A minor disappointment, but she could live with second place.

Spotfur followed his leader, settling himself down, ready to converse.

A steaming cloud of brightly colored breath was exhaled in time with Sunpaw's movements, leaving behind a slight trail that only lasted a few heartbeats before dissipating into the chilly night air. Hesitantly following suit after her Clan, the young she-cat awkwardly picked her way through several particularly deep snowdrifts. Feeling her teeth chatter viciously, a sharp worm of anxiety tightened her gut. Even though Fourtrees was practically empty at the moment, the thought of having to social with all of the Clans made her quite uncomfortable.

Quietly following several of her Clanmates into the sacred hollow, Sunpaw's glossy fur bristled slightly in an attempt to keep herself warm.

Jaystream entered the Gathering alongside his mother and he sat down in his usual spot, his head lowered. It was a blessing that for now, Skyclan was the only clan here. He still couldn't decide how would he face Windclan. And after Cinderpaw's death and his kits birth... the young deputy didn't have any energy to stand against Brindlewhisker or Leopardclaw.

He looked weaker than ever and his green eyes looked at his paws, darkened. This was his first Gathering without Cinderpaw. He felt so alone and devastated... The victory of the battle against Windclan meant nothing to him now. His mind always came back to his dead mate and all the kits she left behind for him to take care of.

Silverfang walked into the Gathering with a pride look and she settled down among her clanmates, next to Swanpaw. She looked around noticing that only Skyclan was there returning her sight to the leaders.

Hailpaw walked with her siblings and her green eyes opened widely when Riverclan reached the clearing. It was even larger than she imagined. She lowered her head a bit and tried to escape from the sight of the strange Skyclan cats that surrounded her. Like her father in his youth, she wasn't good talking with new cats or making friends. For now, she preferred to stay quiet and just watch and learn. That was the only reason why she was here... at least that was the sentence she kept repeating to herself.

Heronflight and Wrenpaw came with RiverClan.

Shadepaw followed after Silverfang, his head held high with pride. This would be the second Gathering he'd attend to, but he knew that the next upcoming Gathering would be his first as a warrior. It just had to be.

Birchpaw ran trotted alongside his clan mates, beaming with excitement. This was his first gathering, and he couldn't wait to meet so many other cats. He smelled the other clans as he jumped into the clearing of fourtrees, looking who to talk to first. Unfortunately, he had bumped into his half-brother, Shadepaw.
He remembered how he had bullied him as a kit, and he was still a little bit scared of him. He had towered over him, and made himself look better than him "H-hi Shadepaw" He said, looking up at his older brother, wondering how he would react. "S-sorry"

Nightpaw looked around. My first gathering. She thought. She wanted to meet new cats. She bounded around the clearing, looking for a Skyclan Apprentice. " She saw a small cat, about the size of an apprentice, and walked up to her. "Hiya! My name is Nightpaw!" She mewed excitedly.

Littlestar entered Fourtrees with her head and tail held high. This was her first gathering as leader, and though her small size wasn't very intimidating, she had never looked stronger. Though you could barely see a few ribs poking out against her tortoiseshell fur, her posture was straight, and she walked with a kind of regal grace. With the war that was threatening all of the clans, now was not the time to appear weak to their enemies. She would lead her clan to greatness.

After conversing with her clanmates for a moment, she made her way towards Great Rock and leaped fluidly onto the huge rock. She nodded politely to the two other leaders before settling down to wait for ThunderClan and WindClan to show up.

Olivelily made her way behind Littlestar silently before making her way to sit next to Wolfheart.

Lakewhisper followed proudly behind Ivystar before settling down to wait for the Gathering to begin.

Scorchfang tried to quell the nervousness stirring in his stomach. This was his first Gathering as ShadowClan's deputy, and he knew that meant not sitting among his Clan, but instead sitting by the Great Rock where the other Clan deputies would stand. Was someone so young really worthy of standing with older, more experienced cats? Well, whether he was or not, that's where he had to go. He held his head high as he followed Littlestar, parting ways from her side to approach the RiverClan and SkyClan deputies, Jaystream and Rippedsky. Swallowing his fear that the toms wouldn't accept him, he gave them each a respectful nod and rather uncomfortably sat next to them, wrapping his tail tightly over his paws to keep from fidgeting.
