Viperstorm nodded to the deputy and Tinytip who had come to help her take out the rest of the Windclan cats. Now Petalpaw and Amberpelt could rest up. The blue gray warrior set her sights on Quailfeather. The blue gray warrior nodded her head in the warriors direction hoping to get others to follow her.

The deputy sighed relieved once Petalpaw was free to rest. But the battle wasn't over yet. He soon followed young Viperstorm toward the Windclan warrior and he attacked with unsheathed claws.

Just like Jaystream, Tinytip didn't stop. She couldn't! As fast as her short legs allowed her, she made her way to Quailfeather and kicked her with her hind legs.

The trio couldn't stop there. They had to end this battle, they needed to chase them all back to camp. No matter how tired Viperstorm was they couldn't stop. "Come on! Just a little more." She shouted as she made her way to the next warrior. The shout was mostly for herself but for the others too. She saw the next target and slammed the tom's head into the ground.

Lakewhisper yowled in triumph as Quailfeather went down, and he looked around for his next opponent. It was the tom who took Snowblossom down. With a furious screech, he ran over to the older tom and brought his paws down onto his head, smashing it to the ground. "That's for Snowblossom." He growled lowly into the dazed cat's ear.

Silentstrike growled and hissed constantly, not getting enough of a break to attack before another cat leaped onto him and attacked him. The black and white tom from the skirmish before had attacked him- and he had to admit, it hurt. he knew that Snowblossom must be that cat had taken out earlier, and out of the corner of his eye, he watched as Quailfeather flew to the ground with a thud. He was angrier than anything could ever make him now, and RiverClan would pay. He reared up onto his hind legs, and then slashed at Laewhisper's face. He slashed at his side before he could think twice, returning to his position, breathing heavily. "And that... was... for Quailfeather! You fox-hearts have... no honor! In a time... of need... you want to come... and take another.... Clan's... much needed... herbs! Go rot.... in the Darkforest!"

Silentstrike used Rear-up to Slash and Swift Strike, dealing a total of 24 damage and using 25 Stamina.

Encouraged by Viperstorm words, the deputy attacked after the young she-cat and Lakewhisper, who was now fighting by their side. The adrenaline filled every part of his body. Even if he would have wanted to stop, he couldn't. His body was burning from energy and he was determined to win... for Riverclan... for Tigerpaw... for his mate who was now expecting his kits.

Those thoughts motivated him to continue and attack once again. This time, a large silver tabby tom who was fighting Lilytail and his sister, Sandfrost. This Windclan warrior was faster than the other ones and he managed to defeat his weakened clanmate. Jaystream stroke, clawing his chest. "We asked for them peacefully! And we need them as much as you do! One of you clanmates wounded Goldeneye, our medicine cat when she was barely an apprentice! Because of that, she couldn't help collecting the last healthy herbs in our lands and is because of one of your fox-hearted clanmates!" He spat before changing his focus to the only cat that was able to stay in her four paws: Ashstar.

The small warrior followed the rest of the group and attacked Silentstrike with her paw. She didn't want to use her claws on him since he was already too wounded. They were in a war, but that didn't mean she had to be a bloodthirsty warrior.

Around her, chaos interrupted. Suddenly WindClan was falling left and right and only two cats remained. Amberpelt stood there, pity flashing across her face as she stared out at the knocked out and fleeing cats. So much bloodshed that wasn't needed...But, oh well, that is what Ashstar brought upon her Clan for not giving them the herbs they had asked so nicely for. Her tail swished as she turned to see many of her Clanmates descending on a single WindClan tom. She shook her head with a 'tut-tut' as the tom fell beneath their blows. "Please be careful!" she called out to them as she rushed past - her attention focusing on the last remaining cat. "We want to take their herbs, not their lives!" With that, she let out a screech as she threw herself at the WindClan leader. There was an excitement that bubbled up in her chest as she slashed out with all of her might at the leader - she had certainly never expected to go blow to blow with a leader with her own by her side! What a way to prove your loyalty...It had her all giddy.

Now, it was time to aid his mother. The warrior soon was facing the mighty leader of Windclan and he looked at her with determination. The deputy attacked, slashing the she-cat's flank with his claws before stepping back again, reaching the side of his leader. Thanks to Starclan, Ivystar didn't seem too wounded like other clanmates.

Like before, Tinytip ran after the deputy and jumped in front of Ashstar, her paws trembling. This was the second time she faced a leader... but she didn't think about it too much. The small warrior just attacked like before, slamming the face of the she-cat with her claws.

Viperstorm knew Ashstar was the only one left. She had nearly no energy left at all but she wanted this battle over with now. The warrior turned to go aid her grand mother. The warrior raced up to the Windclan leader and smacked her across the face with a sheathed paw.

Ivystar, painted in the blood of her enemies, stood over Ashstar like a wraith out of a kit's nightmare. Her silverly pelt looked more red than it's usual affair, and her lip was torn messily in a way that would likely heal poorly. But that didn't matter, none of the pain registered with her as she looked over the fallen WindClan cats that littered the moors in front of her, their wounded frames blooming red into the snow-sprinkled fields.

"WindClan, gather your wounded and pray that StarClan gives you strength. For there will be none to be found in your herbs. As punishment for your leader's stubborn refusal to provide aid, I will be taking everything you have in your herb stores. We will carry out whatever prey you've caught in your freshkill piles, and from henceforth, the Lone Stump and the lands around the gorge are RiverClan territory. Fear not attacks from us further, unless you're foolish enough to trespass. And as for your healing and food needs, as Ashstar kindly suggested to us. Go beg your allies, as neighbourly assistance will not be found." There was little mercy in her eyes for these WindClanners. They were all complicit in their foolish leader's reign, she would have thought that after their last defeat, WindClan would have accepted that RiverClan was not a clan to be trifled with. It seemed they were all fools with a short-memories.

"RiverClan, take what we need from them. For they do not deserve it. If it was us lying in the snow, bleeding, they would have spat on our bodies and laughed at our misery... Oh, and Ashstar, know this. This was all preventable, it was all your doing." Ivystar spoke in a mock jovial tone to the leader, before stalking off to head for WindClan camp. With all their warriors down, there was little resistance as she stormed the camp. Her eyes scanned the clearing for the familiar look of Mottleheart and Featherpaw's pelts. An elder, grey and thin tried to get in her way, but she roughly shoved him aside as she approached the medicine cat den, the stink of blood clinging to her. "Mottleheart, I'm sure by now you know exactly what I'm here for. Don't bother with some paltry display of defiance. Pack up all your herbs into bundles, and this will be bloodless for all of us."

Mottleheart was crouched in his nest as the sound of yowls barely reached his den within the WindClan camp, his paws thrown over his head as he shivered uncontroable. His breath came in soft wheezes as he struggled to breathe. His lungs ached, his head pounded as his eyes were pinpoints focused on the entrance of his den. He had thought today was going to be like any other day - that was until Ashstar had come into the camp ordering the warriors and apprentices to follow her as RiverClan was marching toward the camp. He wasn't sure why RiverClan was here but if it was anything like last time...He...He... A soft whine escaped him as buried his muzzle beneath his paws, memories flashing in his head that caused him to want to curl up into an even tighter ball as if that was possible. His ears could barely pick up the sound of battle that had broken the air - which had been what had driven him into his broken state as those memories that plague him refused to let go.

Soon, silence filled the air until the sound of pawsteps drew closer. The scent of blood became even more overbearing and... As a shadow fell over the den, his breath escaped him in a terrified whine. A silver pelted she-cat stood at the entrance, barking orders that he barely caught - instead his wide eyes stared at her blood coated pelt and paws. "I-I..." was all that he managed, not even well aware of what words he was trying to say as he attempted to push himself to his paws. His breathing was still ragged and uneven, so much so that he wasn't even sure how he managed to get to his paws. He truthfully wasn't sure why RiverClan had attacked them but for herbs...He shook his head as he stumbled across the den, pulling out the herbs as he struggled to work past his heaving chest and blurred mind.

He was too terrified to stand up against the blood-coated she-cat, instead whimpering soft prayers to StarClan - which only came out as terrified whimpers - that his clanmates were alright and that they would make it through what remained of the Leafbare without the herbs. He had no doubt that the leader would get violent if he refused and...He was already a mess - he didn't want to think how much worst he would get if he was to witness the violence first paw instead of just hearing it... Finally, the herbs were in...Not so neat bundles but they would suffice as he stumbled back from them, bending his head as he crouched back near his nest. He wanted to say something but now that he had nothing to focus on, he felt the full force of his panic rising again as he unwilling found himself studying the blood covered leader - wondering how much of the blood belonged to his Clanmates and leader.

Gustpuddle only watched as several cats came running towards her, accepting the fact that her time in this battle was over. She let cat after cat attack her, not doing anything to fight back or stop them. Quailfeather, Brindlewhisker... they were all done, not enough energy left to fight. WindClan was going to lose, and she couldn't do anything about it. Tears filled her eyes as she looked at Minnowslip, lying unconscious on the ground. She had done that. She had made her suffer. No one else, just Gustpuddle. She was the source of her pain, the scars she would bear for the rest of her life. All of it because of the blood that coated her now sheathed claws, this young cat would have to suffer. The senior warrior used to be so kind, and she wouldn't even hurt a flea. What had happened to her? Her tears began to spill over, but before she could pull herself together to try and help Minnowslip away from the fray of what was left of the battle, another small warrior, just like herself, bowled into her. She heard the bones crunch in her jaw, and she fell with a thud to the ground. Her vision grew blurry, and all she heard from Tinytip was a simple, "I'm sorry." She smiled weakly, knowing that it was a younger cat who didn't want to fight "That's alright. W-War is w-war, you're d-doing your job..." And she faded into unconsciousness.

When Gustpuddle finally awoke, she had a pounding headache, and her vision was still blurry. From what she could tell, the battle was already over, and Ivystar had stormed into camp to demand herbs from Mottleheart and Featherlight. She got up weakly, noticing the number of cats that laid on the ground, defeated. Her small frame was in pain every time she moved, yet she kept going, following the blood trails that led straight into camp. She only heard small bits of what Ivystar had said, and that she was taking the Lone Stump and the lands surrounding the Gorge. She was too tired to care, she could do that later. For now, Mottleheart needed reassurance. She spotted him laying in his nest, the bundles of all of WindClan's hard-earned herbs laying in the entrance. She carefully stepped over them, sighing as the blood from her pelt dripped onto the ground underpaw. She tilted her head to the side slightly, studying Mottleheart's face. He was hurting on the inside, she could tell. She walked closer to him, settling herself by his side with a heavy sigh that hurt in her chest. She knew WindClan would need those herbs to heal the wounds of the battle, and that they now belonged to RiverClan. She knew that the kits in the nursery needed the prey that they were taking to feed their own. Yet she could not bring herself to say anything to the silver-furred leader. She only managed a faint whisper, only enough for Mottleheart to hear. "It's g-gonna b-be alright. W-we'll get th-through this, y-you'll see." She collapsed onto the ground, settling her head onto her paws, keeping her eyes open and on Ivystar, watching her every movement.

After Mottleheart assembled the neat packages before her, she kicked the one with deathberries over back to the medicine cat.

"You can keep these. If you're wise, you'll slip some into Ashstar's share of freshkill and rid yourself of that fool." Ivystar meowed derisively as she picked up the other herb packages to take back to RiverClan. WindClan's stores were paltry as well, Leafbare was harsh to all, but she was more than happy to take whatever scraps were left. Her warriors had risked limb and life for these herbs, none were to go to waste. "RiverClan! Take what is ours and head back to camp. We're finished here."
