Make it Double [Open]

"Get back here!" A shout came from the nursery as a brown blur raced from the inside to the outside of the nursery. Tatteredleaf poked her head out from the inside. She had given birth to two little kits just the other day and one of them was already a pain. She never expected to be a kit mother or a queen but here she was with two beautiful kits. Sootkit who preferred to stay by her side, the tom out of the two. And there was Minkkit, while she was easy going she had a lot of energy to burn. Of course she gave them both tribe names out of honor for her old home, but the names wouldn't really be used. Sootkit could be called Soot of the Burt Tree, and Minkkit could be called Mink hiding in the Brush.

Minkkit let out a giggle as she ran from the nursery the brown she-cat didn't want to go back to be stuffed into the nursery. She need to see every detail about camp, and meet the cats around the camp for the first time. She just had to. She could hear her mom let out a sigh and she giggled again. "Come on Sootkit!" Minkkit called.

Sootkit sputtered shyly as his sister rocketed out of the nursery, his whole body shuddering with the cold as he stuck like tree sap to his mother's leg. Not a word coming out of his mouth as he shook his head in denial, he did not want to leave the nursery, it was cold and damp. Plus, Mama did not want to let them leave so he would not leave, for her. After all, his Mama was everything nice and delightful. Giving a soft little sniffle, Sootkit continued to hug his mother's leg.

Leafstorm looked up from his nap- he had been lying in a small patch of sun, trying to stay out of everyone's way -just as a small brown ball of fluff flew out of the nursery. He blinked once or twice, his eyes widening in shock. Was this... a joke? He licked his lips and stood up, walking carefully towards the kit, who was practically shaking with excitement. "Hello there, young one." He crouched down so as not to appear too intimidating- although he doubted the young she-cat would be intimidated by anything. Starclan, it was like Specklefang was back from the dead. "Where did you come from?"
His tail twitched as he saw Tatteredleaf. "Glad to see you out and about, Tatteredleaf!" Leafstorm called, trying his best to put on a brave face and hide his confusion. "Congratulations again!"

Minkkit looked up at Leafstorm. Her head tilting in confusion as he asked her where she had came from. "I came from the nursery!" She answered thinking that as the only solution she knew. "Who are you?" She squeaked.


Tatteredleaf let out a small sigh. It seemed she wasn't going to get Minkkit back inside for a nap anytime soon now. "Come on Sootkit." She said, nudging her son slightly. She pulled herself out of the nursery and stepping over to Leafstorm. "Weird isn't it?" She asked the other warrior, hoping he knew exactly what she was referring to. Her amber eyes looked down at the kit. "Make sure you aren't causing him any issues okay? Or the other warriors for that matter." Tatteredleaf warned.

Eaglekit scampered out of the nursery after the other kits. He was nearly ready to be apprenticed and already far too large to still be living with the queens. There was no doubt that as much as she loved him, Sharptooth had to be ready for Leopardclan or Blizzardstar to hold his ceremony. The already massive and muscular kit stood above Minkkit after he caught up to her. Sootkit was weak and pathetic, not really worth his time, so he ignored the kit as he went on his way.

"Aren't you a little small to be out of the nursery?" He scoffed with narrowed yellow eyes as he looked down at her. The still young tom's proud nature had only grown with time. Eaglekit stood as tall as he could with his chest puffed out to make himself appear as big as possible.

not long after Eaglekit left the nursery Forestkit walked out and sat outside the nursery entrance. She looked around and saw him looking at minkkit. Tatteredleaf had her kits not long ago and it looks like one of them only wanted to do one thing: run. They had only been around for a few days and they had already been a pain to her herself. Sootkit on the other hand was the complete opposite. He always was in the nursery at his mothers side, Not that it's bad, but he doesn't play like the others. After a while she got up and padded over to them. "So watcha doin'?" She asked

Sootkit felt the sting of isolation from his den-mates quickly and swiftly like a moss ball had struck his ears. Eaglekit didn't give him so much as a glimpse, Forestkit felt pity for him. The nudge from his mother sent the small kit stumbling, a sharp nod making his gaunt frame shake as he practically ran after his mother. Once she stopped he immediately hid under her, huddling next to her back legs as he shuddered from the cold that bombarded him and his thin pelt.

"My name's Leafstorm," The tall warrior bit back a laugh, feeling a wave of nostalgia wash over him. It was almost like Specklefang was back.
But no... that was impossible. He had heard stories of reincarnations, but those were just tales elders told while apprentice's cracked their fleas.
Leafstorm nodded, giving his friend a reassuring nudge. "Maybe it's a sign." He rumbled, looking down at the bright-eyed she-cat and trying to muster a smile. Luckily, before he had to say anything else a distraction arrived in the form of a small, feisty brown tom. "Eaglekit, be nice." He chided. "It's Sootkit's first time out of the nursery- how would you feel if someone said that to you?"

A sign? A sign about what? Minkkit titled her head unsure of what her mother and Leafstorm were talking about, but it wasn't til long that two other distractions showed up. She turned to Eaglekit and let out a growl. "Hey don't talk to my brother like that!" She didn't like this Eaglekit. He was too snobby. Her green eyes turned to Forestkit. "Well I was going to explore camp but i got caught up here."

Tigerspark had thought he would connect with his kits instantly. He had, when they were born, but as Sootkit stayed quiet Tigerspark continued to feel annoyed. He didn't face the life he had for a snivering kit. However, like most of emotions, the warrior kept this tucked deep inside and never mouthed a word of it to Tatteredleaf or nothing. Then, the cats of the clan started equating his daughter to Specklefang. He would never let his daughter turn into a murderer. Tucking this down just as deep, Tigerspark joined his family. He nudged Sootkit up with his paw. "Come on, stand up tall and prove Eaglekit wrong." he said, trying to mimic Tatteredleaf. She was a good mother, so... he should act like her.

Sootkit stumbled as he was prodded by his father, pouting the little tom huffed quietly. "But he wasn't talking to me, he was talking to Minkkit." Sootkit huffed, shrinking away from his father and situating himself away from Eaglekit despite. He eyed down the safety of the nursery, wishing to scamper back to its warmth and safety, maybe play mossball with Minkkit.
