OOC: soooo, how long will this topic last?

IC: Wolf snarled as the blind cat clawed his muzzle. He tried to claw Swiftstep some more, but he was getting a little light-headed...

(OOC: Well, I was hoping that Wolfpaw would just attack Fernfeather relentlessly ever since he first attacked and startled Swiftstep to near death, then Swiftstep would drag Wolfpaw back to camp and return immediately for Fernfeather. Guess I probably should've said that right at the beginning, but let's have Wolfpaw go full out on Fernfeather in one post to shorten the time, as a way to break Swiftstep's spirit since she'd be a much easier target.)

Fernfeather struggled to stand back up, but the pain in her hind paw was too great. She huffed squeakily as she flopped back to the ground, gritting her teeth and covering her ears with her forepaws, trying to drown out the sounds of her mate screeching.

(Another OOC: Would it be too much to say that Fernfeather was expecting Swiftstep's kit -- she would be planning on telling Swiftstep, but she'd never get the chance to -- and then just before she dies she gives birth to Fernwing? XD)

OOC: I do like that idea Yosh. Her actually being Swift and Fern's kid would be great! He names her after Fern bc she looks similar to her but maybe Fern 2.0 finds out that Swift was actually her biological dad during her Moonstone. Fernfeather would be the one to tell her that. Then she could tell Swift.

IC: Swiftstep hissed and ran up behind Wolfpaw and bit down hard on the enemy's tail. He made sure to sink his sharp fangs in.

Wolf yelped and, due to not being able to reach Swiftstep, tried to reach out to claw Fernfeather. Not my fault she's blind, she seems to be able to attack me just fine...

She was absolutely startled to find the attacking had been shifted onto her. She yowled in pain at each strike of Wolfpaw's thorn-sharp claws, patting out aimlessly, trying to land a hit, but she could never seem to reach him. Through her struggles, she had turned her head, hoping to avoid a blow to the face, and she gasped sharply at the feeling of claws slashing into the side of her neck. The gash opened wide, and blood began leaking uncontrollably from the wound. She cried out in agony and fell back, too weak and beaten to continue fighting, gradually becoming more and more light-headed from blood loss.

(OOC: Sorry to have rushed it like that, but we really need to end this topic -- and this plot as a whole -- very soon.)

Swiftstep felt his world come to a stop as he watched Fernfeather lose blood from the neck wound. "Fernfeather! NO!" he cried out. Tears uncontrollably fell from his dulling amber gaze. He staggered to her. The tom collapsed and sobbed into her fur. She wasn't moving. Since he wasn't thinking properly, the warrior didn't double check to see if she was actually dead. His head slowly turned to face Wolfpaw. He got up and as fast as a blink of an eye, he leaped and pinned the rogue down. His teeth were inches from his neck. "YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS YOU MURDERER!" he snarled with hatred. The warrior grabbed his ex-apprentice by the scruff very harshly, he even managed to break skin. He dragged him along, eyes cold and unforgiving. He was going to bring back to camp, for them to deal with him. He didn't want to kill him. He didn't want his teeth stained with the blood of a Dark Forest cat. He was also going to bring his beloved's body back to camp. For them to give her a proper burial. One for the best of warriors. One for a special gal. One for his gal. He was getting closer and closer to the camp. This rogue's last destination.
