It's Been A While [Closed]

Tigerspark needed a break from camp. It was crowded with stressed out cats. He didn't join ThunderClan for this. With a breath, he slipped out of camp and back onto the scorched forest of ThunderClan. Quietly he made his way to the border, where he had been introduced to the clans. Way back when he was Squeak. That seemed like forever ago, and Tigerspark suddenly felt very old and weary. With a sigh, he laid on top of a fallen log. Thinking about life. He stared across the border, almost longingly.

Tatteredleaf was resting by the leader's den when she had noticed Tigerspark slip out of camp realtively unnoticed, but the scared she-cat had noticed. She pushed herself to her feet and slowly limped out of camp following the tom. She carefully moved so she wouldn't be noticed too much but the daze he was in, she didn't think he would notice her. They arrived at the border, she starred out. Did he miss his old home? His old ways?

The she-cat padded up to the side of the tom. "What are you doing out here?" The she-cat asked.

Tigerspark jumped at the sound of Tatteredleaf's voice, and then relaxed when he realized it was her. He shrugged, and scooted over so there was room for her. "I'm just looking out. This is where we first met." he said softly, hooking his claw on a piece of moss and flicking it to the side. "It feels like forever ago, now. A whole lifetime." he rested his head on his paws, eyes glazed over. "We're both so different than we were before." Tigerspark suddenly felt very very old.

Tatteredleaf climbed up on top of the log, very clumsily. She sat up upon the log instead, looking at the area around them. "Yeah I remember. I had only been in Thunderclan for a couple moons. A lot of things have occurred since then.." Tigerspark was right in stating that they were both very different from then. She changed a lot.. She wasn't the same cat she used to be. She had so much more spirit then.

Tigerspark nodded, and gave Tatteredleaf a lick on the forehead. "I wonder when I die if I'll get to go to StarClan." he mused outloud, almost whimsically. "Do you think you'll go there?" His voice was a soft whisper now.

She didn't really want to think of Tigerspark dying. She had lost so much already.. "If you believe, then I think we both will be able to." She believed. She believed both Starclan and Tribe of Endless Stars were something to believe in. Part of each other but separate skies.

Tigerspark scratched on the tree bark. "I guess you're right, Tatteredleaf..." the tom trailed off, glancing over to the she-cat. His entire life revolved around her, and everything that happened to them had happened so quickly. What was in store for them? Suddenly, something burst out of his mouth. A natural instinct, something he couldn't control like crouching before prey. A sudden breeze of words. "Tatteredleaf, I love you." His throat choked up saying the words he had held back so long.

Tatteredleaf was a bit shocked at the words that left the tom's mouth, but wasn't really suprised that much either. They both cared deeply for each other. She stared at him for a small moment before finally replying, "I love you too." A small purr could be heard in her voice.

Tigerspark grinned, an ear to ear kitty smile. "Will you be my mate?" he almost whispered, moving closer to her and nuzzling the top of her scarred head. They could totally work.

Tatteredleaf let out a purr. "Of course." She nuzzle the tom back, a spot of happiness in her life after all that had happened.

Tigerspark purred, his eyes dazzling. "We should have kits!" he exclaimed excitedly. He had never been a father! With kits, he would never die.
