Scorchfang snorted with amusement. "We'll see about that. Now, you wanna see a really cool trick, one that only ShadowClan cats are skilled enough to do?" Already knowing Wildpaw's answer, he swiftly brought down his paw against the ground, scooping up a pawful of mud and flinging it at the tree directly next to Wildpaw. "I know it didn't look like much, but with quick paw-work and accurate aiming, you can fling mud at your opponent's eyes to momentarily stun them long enough to land a strong attack. And since ShadowClan's territory is the only place where the mud is loose enough to use against your opponent, this move can't be used anywhere else."

"Wow! That's cool lemme try!" he meowed in excitement. He did like Scorchfang had showed him and scooped a pawful of mud and flinged it towards a tree. He did hit a tree but the wrong tree, he growled quietly in annoyance andd glared at the tree.

"You know, I wasn't able to master this move here until I was a young warrior, so not that long ago at all," Scorchfang purred, attempting to make Wildpaw feel better. "I couldn't even hit a tree until I did become a warrior, let alone the tree I wanted to hit. You got a tree on your first try, so that should be something to feel proud of. Just a little more practice and you'll really get the hang of it."

"But.. Ugh" he growled quietly and scooped up a pawful of mud again and slashed it towards a three. As he already where annoyed he got unfocused and missed the three this time. He growled and glared towards the way that the mud had flew.

"You always have to keep a clear head during battle," the young warrior added. "Frustration can really mess with your fighting. Take a deep breath and keep trying. You may not get it right today, but you will eventually. However, we can't focus on battle training all day. We also have some hunting to do."

Wildpaw did as Scorchfang told him and took a deep breath. "Alright then, let's hunt" he meowed in excitement. He looked around the deep marshes trying to see some prey.

"Alright, let's see what we can find..." Scorchfang parted his lips to taste the air. He quickly scented a mouse darting between a hole in the ground and a small pile of nuts. "You see that mouse there? You're going to try to catch it. Stalk up on it slowly, and make sure your steps are light; a mouse can feel your paws in the earth before it scents or hears you. Then pounce when you get close enough. And most importantly: if you miss it, don't get upset. Hardly any cat catches prey on their first try."

He nodded and got into something that looked like a hunting crouch. He slowly stalked towards the mouse. He walked with light stepes and once he where pretty close behind it he pounced on it and caught it without to much complication. He grapped it by the neck and bit down hard, killing it insantly.

Scorchfang's eyes lit up. "Brilliant catch, Wildpaw! That'll definitely feed the queens."

He purred happy and walked proudly back to his mentor with the mouse. He smiled at him "Well can you be a bad if you have such a amazing mentor and brother?" he asked "Even if his a tounge monster" he then added.

Scorchfang playfully fluffed his bushy tail on the back of Wildpaw's head. "Oh, hush, you," he purred back affectionately. "How about we each catch one more piece of fresh-kill before heading back? I want to see if you can scent any prey on your own."

"Okay" he nodded and turned around. Still being a pretty new at things he didn't know the exact scent to every single piece of prey and missed out on some potential catches as he sniffed the air. Once he caught the scent of a frog. He saw the little green-ish frog and started stalking towards it. Once close enough he pounced on it, digging his claws into the slimy frog so it had no way to escape. He grapped it by the neck and shook his head from side to side until the frog stopped moving and had died.
