Silverkit's and Greykit's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardstar leaped onto the Highrock, war or not, injuries or not, ceremonies should still be a priority “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Silverkit and Greykit raced out of the nursery at the same time. ”Do you think it’s our apprentice ceremony?” Silverkit asked.

”I hope so,” Greykit replied, ”I’ve been looking forward to the day when we become apprentices.”

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white leader finally decided to go on "Silverkit, Greykit, please, step forward”.

Silverkit stepped forward, excitement making her eyes shine, but she still kept her composure. She then looked at Greykit who’s whole body was quivering in anticipation.

Blizzardstar smiled at the kits before talking again “Silverkit, Greykit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Silverpaw and Greypaw” She took a quick glance at the warriors gathered before picking one for the new apprentices “Your mentors will be Birchheart and Owltalon, respectively. I hope they pass down all they know on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, dismissing the clan.

Owltalon blinked in surprise when she was told she was to have an apprentice. She stood and padded over to Greypaw leaning her massive head down she touch noses with her apprentice"training starts bright and early tommorrow"she mewed.

Birchheart padded to her apprentice and touched noses with her. "Don't stay up too late; we start practicing before the fog burns away. Ask the other apprentices how to build a nest." She purred. She felt uncertainty welling up and gnawing at her pride. After all her failures she was receiving an apprentice? This early into her own warriorhood?
