Kestrelkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Ashstar leapt onto the Tallrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" she yowled commandingly.

Kestrelkit stepped out of the nursery. Her brown and cream pelt newly groomed as she looked at Highrock with nerves in her belly as she moved to sit just outside of it. Her blue eyes wide with anticipation. Was this it? Was this the day at long last?

Ashstar nodded approvingly at the young kit. "Kestrelkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Kestrelpaw. Your mentor will be Frostfeather. I hope she will pass down all she knows on to you."

Kestrelkit bounded forward in excitement as she heard her name. She tried to restrain herself from fidgeting as Ashstar spoke the traditional words to her. Her tail flicking excitedly behind her. At the mention of Frostfeathers name, she turned to greet her new mentor with the traditional nose to nose.

FrostFeather sat there surprised for a second then got up and put her nose on the apprentice. "hello I hope you will learn a lot from me." she said smiling. She finally got an apprentice and she wanted to do her best.
