Ravenkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the Willow Branch for a clan meeting!" The leader shouted, her silver pelt shimmering in the moonlight as she called for her clan to gather. Another kit was ready to take their place amongst them, to hunt and learn to be a true member of the clan. It always brought her much joy to hold these ceremonies.

Ravenkit padded out of the nursery, going to sit near the willow branch. This could be her apprentice ceremony! She gazed at Ivystar, hoping it was.

"Ravenkit, I have been informed that you are ready to undertake the responsibilities of an apprentice as you have reached six moons. So, until you are ready to become a warrior, the clan shall now call you Ravenpaw. And you will be mentored by Stormheart, I know him to be a fierce warrior, who will have much to teach you." Ivyfall concluded the ceremony with that, hopping down from the willow branch to give Ravenpaw an affectionate nuzzle as her mother should have given her. It was heartbreaking that Willowpetal wasn't around to see her kittens grow.

"I will be here for you, along with the rest of the clan. Don't be afraid, and don't be shy to lean on us for support." She spoke with a mother's softness, wanting the apprentice to know that she wasn't alone.
