Is There Anything That's Worth More...

Sootkit ran clumsily out of the nursery after his parents. Suddenly he was hit by more smells, sights and sounds than his brain could comprehend. So this is what it was like outside! "There are so many cats here! Who is he? Who is she? Who is..." Sootkit rambled on for ages, pointing out everything and everyone around him.

Ashkit gave a small yelp of surpise as he was suddenly picked up by the scruff. However, he didn't squirm to get away from his mother, instead focusing on the excitement of finally getting to leave the nursery. There were so many other cats around! "Are we going to see all of Shadowclan?"

Darkkit ran clumsily behind Sootkit. I hope so! I want to see the whole place! he said to Ashkit.

Leaving gently Ashkit on the ground, Cedarstorm smiled to her sons. Sootkit was more like her when she was a kit but Ashkit seems to have the shy personality of his parent. "Calm down, Sootkit. There's enough time to know all the names of your fellow clanmates. For now, you just need to know that Magpiestar is our leader and Littlebrook is our deputy. They are the ones that lead Shadowclan." Her blue eyes glanced at the gray tom after she heard his new question. "That's the idea, Ashkit. A good future warrior should know where is his home. What should we show them first, my love?" She purred, turning her gaze to the dark-furred warrior.

"Hmmm. Let's show them the apprentice's den. Then the Medicine cat's den. They should know where they'll be sleeping once they reach 6 moons. The medicine cat's den is also very important. That's where they can go to ask for assistence with injuries and illnesess. Let us hope nothing  bad ever happens to them but as apprentices, they will face many hardships and obstacles that will lead them to Honeydrop and Roaringblaze more than once." the dark-furred warrior concluded.

"Okay!" Hailkit ran forward, but stopped. "Uh, heh, where exactly is that den?"

Ashkit sat on the ground, not moving until he knew where they were going. He looked at Crowfur questioningly. "Is it going to be far?" He sure hoped not.

Curlypaw was padding out of the apprentice's den, and stopped abruptly when she saw her Cedarstorm with her new kits. It was easy to think that the apprentice was younger than her littermate, being naturally small and still having the rank of apprentice. But it wasn't the misinterpretation of age that made her conflicted about the warrior's kits, it was their father. Crowfur had become better since she had first met him, but they were far from friends. And the fact that he was mates with her sister frankly grossed her out. But as her gaze turned to their kits, she couldn't be angry at them. They were young and innocent, and kind of cute. Hailkit especially, probably because (though she didn't realize it) that kit was the most like she was. Though he was a tom, he looked a bit like her and acted like she used to. Quietly, she padded over to her kin.
"How are all of you doing?" she asked, not able to make eye contact with the kit's father.

Sootkit bounced excitedly to meet this new cat. "Hello! I'm Sootkit!" he squeaked, unable to keep quiet for more than a second. "What's your name? Are you a warrior? A-" he cut off, remembering his mother's words. She was right, there is a time and place for everything. calm down, Sootkit he said to himself. He sat down and began to clean himself as if his outburst never happened, though he did steal glances at the grey she-cat in front of him every so often.

Ashkit regarded the grey she-cat curiously, though he was too shy to ask her name or draw attention to himself. Instead, he moved a bit behind his mother, watching the mysterious she-cat.

Darkkit looked at the mysterious cat, deciding whether or not to introduce himself. After a moment he decided that he was. "Hi, I'm Darkkit, what's your name?" he asked.

Lilacpaw followed her friend out of the apprentice's den, happy to see her brother Crowfur and his mate. Nodding her head to Cedarstorm and Crowfur, she looked to their kits. "Hello there," she purred. "How have you been?" she asked her brother cheerfully.

Ashkit hid himself even more as another she-cat came up to them. He supposed he was being kind of rude in not introducing himself like his brothers but he didn't know these cats and was too shy to tell them his name first.

Sootkit closed his eyes when another new cat arrived, trying fruitlessly to contain himself. When he thought he might explode, he mewled loudly, "Hello, what's your name? I'm Sootkit. One day imma become a great warrior just like father! I can't wait to become an apprentice. Are you a warrior, or are you still an apprentice? Have you been in any battles against evil cats in other Clans?
Are you... Once again, Sootkit had an outburst of curious, playful energy. He was excited to meet new cats after all.

Hailkit padded up to the unfamiliar cats. "Hello! I'm Hailkit!" he greeted.
