Ivykit's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardstar leaped onto the Highrock, ready for another ceremony “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Ivykit trotted happily to the high rock. Her mother had told her that she could go to this meeting, but she wasn't sure why. 'Aren't kits not allowed at meetings?' she thought.
It didn't matter to her. She was just excited to be at a meeting.

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white leader finally decided to go on "Ivykit, please, step forward”.

Ivykit's eyes widened as she stepped forward, trembling. Of course! Lichenfang said she could come to this meeting because it was her ceremony! Excitement blazed through her as she gazed up at her leader. Who would be her mentor? Would she be able to impress them? Her stomach fluttered with nervousness that went with her excitement. She'll finally be able to explore the territory! And hunt! And fight!

Blizzardstar smiled at the kit before talking again “Ivykit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Ivypaw” She took a quick glance at the warriors gathered before picking one for the new apprentice “Your mentor will be Weedblaze. I hope he passes down all he knows on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, dismissing the clan.

Ivypaw had to restrain herself from bouncing up and down. She was overwhelmed with excitement. Now she could hunt and explore! She couldn't wait to start training.
