Hey wanna race? (Closed race/patrol)

Goldenpaw bounded over to his brother. Hey Dawnpaw! You wanna race and then go and go and hunt?" He meowed lashing his orange tail in excitement.

"Yeah, I guess after I beat you I can bring back a rabbit or two," Dawnpaw said casually, licking his paw and wiping it over his head to wash behind his ear.

Goldenpaw laughed. "Well I've got the advantage of longer legs so maybe you'll eat my dust." He meowed playfully. He laughed and then turned and walked a few steps. "Coming brother?" He smirks and continues to pad away.

Dawnpaw nodded, then raced right past him. Seems he wanted a head start to compensate.

Goldenpaw started after his brother and since he had longer legs he quickly over took him and he turned and stuck his tongue out at his brothe rpkayfully.

Dawnpaw began to run harder, making more strides to keep up with Goldenpaw. Although he was panting heavily, he was catching up.

Goldenpaw ran some more until he started to pant and he finally reached the stump in the territory and jumped on top. "I win!" He pants his tongue sticking out at his brother immaturely.

"Whatever," he shrugged.

Goldenpaw laughed. "Maybe next time? Hey wanna go and get mom to see if she wants to go out hunting with us?" He meowed tilting his head.

Dawnpaw nodded in agreement.

Goldenpaw led the way back to camp. Once they got back to camp he looked for their mother. "Hey mom wanna go hunting with us?" He meowed.

Brindlewhisker had been lounging in the shade of the TallRock, partially dozing in the cool shade of the large stone rock, enjoying a small midday break whenever Dawnpaw and Goldenpaw had approached. One eye opened in a somewhat lazy manner as she observed her sons with a diluted affection in her sleep-heavy eyes while her left ear twitched as Goldenpaw spoke. "Alright, I suppose I have some free time." Brindlewhisker finally conceded affectionately, quickly rising to her paws and striding towards Dawnpaw and Goldenpaw. Padding up to her two sons, she paused to quickly smooth down their wind-ruffled fur with a few brisk licks before she guided the little trio out of camp.
