A little fun? (Open)

The little sand colored kit had enough of sitting in the nursery. He was bored and it seemed like there was no one to play with. He decided to head out on a little "adventure." He didn't go far since he wasn't allowed to stray off to far from the nursery but he decided that a couple of feet away from the nursery wasn't enough. He padded over to the clearing but stopped midway as he spotted a little bug. He got ready to pounce on it but made the wrong move and created a bit of noise. The bug scurried away and Swiftkit raced after it. He lost sight of it and sat down in defeat. "Aww. I almost had it!" he muttered. He sighed suddenly feeling tired. He started to walk back to the nursery but stopped at the fresh kill pile. His nose scrunched up at the strong smell. He looked around to see if another cat was nearby. He needed someone to talk to.

Emberkit was already outside and watched the older kit hunt a beetle, and watching it scurry away. Like the ball of enthusiasm she was, she bounced like a miniature sun towards the kit.
"Hi! I'm Emberkit! You almost had that beetle! Whats your name?" She said in a rush, just happy to have a possible new friend.

Swiftkit jumped as he was startled by the new voice. He turned to see a young she-cat kit bounding towards him. "Hello Emberkit! I'm Swiftkit!" He purred happily as now he had someone to talk to. "Hey Emberkit... Want to go play?" the sand-colored kit asked shyly.

"Of course!" Emberkit said, oblivious to how much she startled her new friend.
"I would love to!"She exclaimed, bouncing around for 30 seconds before her kit energy ran out."What do you want to play?"

He thought for a moment before sighing. "I can't think of anything...What do YOU want to do?" the kit asked. "I'll let you choose because I can't think of anything." Swiftkit said softly, he was quite embarrassed.

"Uh, we should find that beetle you were chasing!" she said with a purr, "It couldn't have gone far, could it?"

His head perked up. "Yeah! Let's go find it! Maybe we can catch it." He started walking in a random direction and looked back. "Where do you think it could've gone?" Swiftkit asked.

"Now that I think about it, anywhere!"Emberkit said with worry. Just then she came up with an idea. "Hey, you go that way,"she said pointing,"and I'll go that way," pointing in the opposite direction.
She was then off, already trotting off into the direction that she had suggested.

"Alright! I'll tell you when I find it!" Swiftkit said as he ran opposite of Emberkit. It seemed like ages as he looked for the slick beetle. He hadn't realized how far he'd got until he looked around. He was at the entrance of the camp. "Uh oh...I shouldn't be this far..." He mewed. His voice laced with worry. Curiosity sparked and he stepped a bit further. "Wow..." His eyes shown with wonder at the giant world outside of camp. He looked back and sighed. He had to go back before he got in trouble. He headed back to camp but not before glancing back at the vast scenery behind him.

Emberkit bounced around before coming to a dead stop. She spied a....... BUTTERFLY!!!! Mewing with delight, she leaped up, again and again, before it fluttered off into the distance.
"Mouse-droppings!" It was out before she knew it and she covered her muzzle with her paw. Kits shouldn't be saying that! Embarrassed, she headed back towards the center of the clearing to wait for Swiftkit.

"Emberkit, Emberkit!" Swiftkit yelled out. He was racing towards her but since he's very clumsy couldn't stop in time and ran into her. "Oof!" He swiftly got up and held excitment in his eyes. "Emberkit! Guess what?" He was jumping up and down waiting for her to respond.

"What?!!" His excitement was contagious. Emberkit was about to burst with anticipation. I sure hope he found the beetle. She thought

He calmed down a bit before speaking. "I did find the beetle on my way back but what I really wanted to say is that I got to go outside of camp!" His eyes were full of delight. "It's amazing out there!!!" He exclaimed. "Do you want to go see?" He asked suddenly.

Emberkit was confused,"You mean there are places outside the camp??" She was totally befuddled.
"Are there other cats? Do they live like us? Are they nice?" She started spewing out questions until what she said started to be incomprehensible.

"Emberkit!!" He yelled excitedly. "If we want to find all that out we must go explore!" He said as he held his head high. "We will be apprentices eventually and we will get to go out more often but why not explore now so we can be awesome apprentices in the future?"
