Wildpaw's Assessment [Closed]

Today was her apprentice's assessment. The brown and white warrior waited patiently on her apprentice next to the camp's entrance. She was going to give him his instructions and then he was on his own. Of course she was going to keep and eye on him, but he was basically doing this by himself.

Wildpaw took his orders from his mentor and set out onto the moors to find some prey. After a few minuts of sniffing out prey, he finally smelled out a rabbit. Making sure he was downwind of the animal, he stalked it until he was the right distance to pounce. Then, he acted. It was a clean kill, and he buried it to come back for it after catching enough to be successful in his assessment.

Wildpaw continued to stalk more prey, finding a hare. Doing the same basic stance he had taken with the rabbit, he crept closer and closer until he was in striking distance. Once he was the right distance away, he struck. Another clean kill. He was doing great! He buried the hare and went to look for the third and final piece of fresh kill.

The orange tom continued to search for prey. This last one took him longer than the first two, as he had to relocate to a different area of the WindClan territory. Continuing to sniff the air, sensing the wind blowing towards him, he sniffed out a third and hopefully final rabbit. Staying downwind from the small gray creature, he fell into the familiar rabbit-pouncing stance. He pounced as soon as he was close enough to. Success! He caught all three rabbits in a row! Feeling proud of himself, he grabbed that rabbit and went back to grab the other two. Heading back to where his mentor told him to meet, he placed the fresh-kill on the ground.
