Silentpaw's Assessment ((CLOSED))

Making his way over to the apprentice sleeping area, Smokepelt found Silentpaw's mostly white pelt and tiptoed over some apprentices on his way to the tom. "Silentpaw, wake up," the deputy meowed, nudging the apprentice's side with a white paw. With that, he exited the sleeping area and trotted over to the camp entrance and sat down, fluffing out his pelt from the chilly morning air.

Waking to see Smokepelt walking to the entrance of camp, Silentpaw followed up and stood in front of him with a confused look on his muzzle."Whats wrong, Smokepelt? Did I do something wrong?"

"No, quite the contrary. Today I'm going to assess you," the tom mewed with a smile and stood up. With Duskstorm not feeling very well, the deputy took initiative to give Silentpaw his assessment. With a flick of his tail, the grey ad white tom padded out of the camp entrance and into the moor.

Following Smokepelt through the gorse tunnel and outside of camp, the older apprentice padded up to his side, stopping once they were in a good position. Facing the deputy, Silentpaw began to speak softly. "So, what should I do first?" With an inquisitive smile on his muzzle, he tried his best to keep his excitement inside, successfully doing so, and looking as well as being very mature about it. Dont mess this up... Dont mess this up...

"First, I want you two catch two rabbits, and we'll go from there," the tom meowed with a smile, glad to see the apprentice eager to get started. "I'll be watching you from a distance while you hunt, but don't worry about me," Smokepelt added and sat down, waiting for Silentpaw to get started.

Once Silentpaw raced off to dig up some prey, Smokepelt followed as quietly as possible, making sure to keep his distance. Seeing that the apprentice was successful, he let out a soft purr as he crouched in the tall grass, observing the apprentice. Off to a good start so far.

He sniffed the air once more, yet again catching the scent of a rabbit. He followed it gratefully. He pounced on the newly found rabbit, killing it with a harsh blow to the neck. He had completed his task, and he was ready to find Smokepelt. Digging up his prey from before, he dropped both pieces of prey at his paws. "Smokepelt, I'm finished." He then sat down, prey at his paws, waiting for Smokepelt to appear in front of him.

Watching as Silentpaw made his final kill, Smokepelt trotted out from the spot where he was hiding in the grass and made his way to the apprentice. "Good job!" the tom meowed with a smile. "Great hunting techniques. How about we go patrol the border now?" he asked and started walking towards the direction of the Thunderpath.

Giving a nod of reply to the apprentice, Smokepelt was impressed by the younger cats intuition. "Yes, we'll start at the Thunderpath and work our way back to camp," he replied. Soon enough, the two reached the path just in time to watch a monster roar by. "So, what do you know about the Thunderpath area?" the deputy mewed, scrunching up his nose at the strong scent.

Nodding at the apprentice's reply, he had to admit, Duskstorm taught him well. "Good job, I think you know enough about this area," the deputy mewed. "Let's follow the border to Fourtrees and then head back to camp," he mewed and started to walk along the border towards Fourtrees.
