There's Hope Yet [Open]

OCC: I hate birth topics and I think momma cat is fairly busy lately so I'm doing an after-birth topic. Let's say they're starting at a couple moons or so? But your babs are all playable now after this topic.

Rippedsky's tail was wrapped around his feet as he stared down at his youngest kits. Pride shone in his deep blue eyes. This was their third litter. The tom couldn't be more thrilled. All of them seemed healthy and strong. They would grow to be fine warriors. His hope had become fairly dim after the return of Blurrypaw and Ratpaw. The two had a strange upbringing underneath the vicious rogue leader, Bear. It had certainly affected them. Despite the fact they were now adjusting to clan life, there still seemed to be lasting effects. He pushed away the dark thoughts about his own kits and allowed the soft smile to return to his muzzle.

"Would you kits like to get out and see camp?" He offered, assuming they would love to. It was a large litter, certainly bigger than their last couple. The nursery had become cramped with Rippedsky and Cherrymist's kits alone. Getting outside would be good for them, and he couldn't wait for the clan to officially meet them.

A fluffy silver maine coon woth yellow eyes bounded out after her father. Bubblekit's eyes widened as she took in the world. "Whoaa!! Its so big!! Daddy are those trees?" She asked gazing in wonder at the forest. Her little face shone with happiness at the prospect of getting out to see the forest.

Definitely smaller then her sister a small almost pure white kit charged after Bubblekit. She couldn't stop in time due to her excitement and barreled right into her sister causing both of them to tumble right in the paws of their father. Untangling herself she squeaked a small, "Yes!!" She couldn't wait to see outside!

Bubblekit squeaked in surprise as her sister barreled into her knocking them into their fathers paws. She jumped up and playfully growled tackling her sister and bopping her lighting on the nose. "Grr! Im a big bad Shadowclan warrior!" She said facing her sister.

Willowkit followed his sister out of the nursery, casting a look of annoyance at her as the she-cat crashed into Bubblekit. The grey and black-striped tom with a properly groomed white chest padded towards the heap of fur with a blank expression on his face, determined to show how what he thought a real kit should act. He stopped to the side of his sisters facing his father, silently showing that he was there for his dad's offer only, not his siblings' company.

Rosekit playfully growled back then giggled as Bubblekit bobbed her nose. "Yes! You are stinky Shadowclan warrior! I am the big scary Skyclan warrior who will defeat you!" She giggled again, then looked outside. "Woah!" It was more beautiful then she would ever imagine it! "Come on slow pokes! You won't want to miss this!" She called to her other siblings then ran off in a direction leaving behind everyone. Dashing back and forth her blue eyes darting around at everything as she ran by.

OOC: Hope I can pop in

IC: Swanpaw stumbled into camp, dragging a large bird behind her. The scarred white apprentice just went out on a walk and just happened to find the bird and killed it. Dropping the bird triumphantly onto the fresh-kill pile, she watched as her father introduced the newest kits in her family to the outside. She was so excited all this time to see her littlest siblings out and about, not just sleeping in their mother's nest. I'll be able to actually play with them! she thought. Bouncing over to her father Rippedsky, she said, "Hi, dad! Did you see that big bird I caught? Also, can I play with them?" she went on without time for him to reply, flicking her tail towards the kits.

Willowkit felt his paws tingle with the urge to follow Rosekit and play, but he pushes it down inwardly scolding himself. He wasn't going to act like her or do anything like her at all. The kit glanced at his father, feeling a confusing hope rise in his chest before it sank when blue eyes he inherited instead looked over at a scarred apprentince that popped in.

When Swanpaw called his father dad, Willowkit felt angry. "He can't be your dad, you're older than us." He didn't understand-she wasn't born with his siblings.

Rosekit saw a older cat talk with her siblings and father and she ran over skitting to a halt barely able to stop in time before she hit the apprentice. She heard what Willowkit asked then bounced on her paws, "What Willowkit said. How can you be our sibling? Is this true, Dad?" Her blue eyes looked at her father questioningly. She dosen`t remember seeing this cat before.

Bubblekit boynded after her sister skidding on her paws and almost crashing into her. "Yeah shes older she cant be our sibling!!" She said.

Cloudkit let out a mrrow of mock annoyance when his father asked if they wanted to see camp. "Is that supposed to be funny?" He meowed indignantly, though his blind blue gaze shined playfully. If it had been any other clanmate he probably would've given them an earful, but he knew his father loved him and didn't mean anything by it. That was obvious as his mother was blind and he obviously loved her enough to have kits with her. He was a bit insecure about his blindness, but he wasn't about to admit that.

He found his way towards Rippedsky through his scent and nuzzles up against him. "I'm excited to run into things all over again." He meowed, laughing loudly.

The grumpy striped kit became calmer when his blind brother joined the conversation. He snorted at the cat's humor. In his opinion, Cloudkit was the only tolerable sibling in the family.

However, when his sisters echoed his question, Willowkit felt a fresh wave of irritation-especially for Rosekit. Some days, the male kit was so overwhelmed with frustration after spending too much time in her vicinity that he wanted to drive her out of Shadowclan himself. The tom doesn't want them here-he's the one who asked the question before they did. "Hey, I asked first." The tom glared at Rosekit.

OCC: WOAH FRIENDS WAIT FOR ME

Rippedsky licked the top of Swanpaw's head in greeting. She was the only remaining kit from his second litter. He loved her just as much as the rest of his kits, but her sweet and joyful personality held a special place in his heart. Once more pride rose in his chest as he saw what a fantastic she had made. Someday she would be a fantastic warrior. Hopefully soon, it was certainly almost time. A purr rumbled in his chest as all of his kits bounced around his paws or snuggled up to him. It felt great to have his own family. Having the clan was one thing, but with his own kin there was a special bond that felt like nothing else. His family in Windclan had not been like that; he was lucky to have found it here.

"You did a wonderful job!" He complimented his eldest daughter before all of the young kits chimed in. Their hostility towards Swanpaw made him chuckle. It was amusing how little small cats knew about the world. However, it did make sense that they did not yet know. A quick explanation was in order, "Yes, Swanpaw is your sister. She is your mother and I's oldest kit. She came from a different litter though, many moons ago." He hoped it was satisfactory enough for them. Otherwise, Cherrymist would have to try later.

Bubblekit nodded. She tackled Rosekit again and batted he rnose with her paw. Wigglings her rump she punces on her and nibbled on her ear.

Rosekit just stared at her brother, Willowkit why does he have to be so serious all the time? "Yeah, so what?" She shook her head then turned her attention to her father as he explained, "Really? Sorry!" She directed at Swanpaw. "Do you-" She was cut short as Bubblekit batted her nose then pounced on her giggling she laughed, "I will get you, Bubblekit!" She nibbled on his tail.
