Life In The Nursery {Open}

Shallowkit bounded out of the nursery. She was so bored! She flicked her fluffy tail and looked around. Suddenly, a leaf blew past her. "Hey! Wait for me little leaf!" She purred to herself, and gave chase. After a moment of chasing, the leaf landed, and she crouched down and jumped on it, rolling around and playing with it.

HeronKit's droopy eyes stopped on the kit, foolishly bounding around in pursuit of a leaf. He grunted. "What're you at?" He asked, his eyes fixed on the leaf.

"Oh! Hi Heronkit!" She whipped around and smiled, her paw still on the leaf. "You weren't awake yet so I thought I'd play!"

"Hi." He said blankly. "That's kinda dumb, what you're doing, is it not?"

" Oh shush, you! I was bored! And besides, I wanna be a great fighter when I'm older! So I'm using this leaf to practice!" She crouched and wiggled her haunches, before leaping at random flurries of dust.

"I'd enjoy being in the background. Not getting hurt. I mean, I don't wanna be a warrior OR a medicine cat. I'd like to be an elder or something." He stuttered on his words.

" Well then!" She stopped abruptly. "I gotta teach you how to fight!" She let out a mrrow of excitement, before jumping at HeronKit, knocking him down as the rolled along the ground.

He kicked at her before squirming out of her grasp. He grunted. "Be serious. "

" Hah! I'm just getting started!" She jumped at him again, before flipping him over striking out with her front paw to hit his face. It was sheathed of course.

He hit his head against hers, before shoving her away with his front paws. " Come on, this isn't the time. "

She let out a purr, and ran at him, ramming his head into his side and stepped backwards as he fell on the floor. "What? Is this boring to you..?"

He got to his paws. "In a matter o' fact, yes."

"Why? Did something happen that you hate playing?" She replied, giving her ruffled chest a quick lick.

He chuckled. "Duh. I'm just tired. I just woke up! Besides, you might be causing a racket. Maybe the leader might tell you off!" He poked her belly with his small tail.

" Causing a racket? I'm not exactly yelling, you know!" She argued. " I haven't given Fishstar any problems before.."
