Tawnykit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardstar, healed of his sprained paw and now cleared to return to ceremonies, leaped atop the Jaggedrock in one clean bound. It felt good to be mobile again, and he looked over the clearing of the camp. He'd missed the sight, even after only a few short days of rest. He called out the clan summons, his deep voice echoing around the camp. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Upon hearing the words Ambernose blinked and groomed her daughter before sending her out following her.

A white she cat with black paws and ears with a ginger nose stripe came scampering out. Tawnykits fur was nice and groomed as she came and sat down.

Leopardstar spotted the kit and her proud mother standing by and began the ceremony. "Tawnykit, step forward." He meowed, meeting Tawnykit's young gaze with his own stern one. "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to begin training. From this moment until you receive your warrior name, you shall be called Tawnypaw. Hazeflight will be your mentor. I trust she will teach you loyalty and perseverance." He finished, nodding to the silver warrior.

Tawnypaw blinked then smiled before the white black and ginger she looked to her mentor.

Ambernose watched pride gleaming in her eyes

Hazeflight smiled and nodded as Leopardstar spike her name. Her second apprentice! She couldn't wait to start training with Tawnypaw. Happily, Hazeflight touched noses with the calico apprentice.

Tawnypaw eagerly touched noses with her mentor before she mewed"when do we start training?"she asked quietly eager.

"Tonight, be ready." meowed Hazeflight briefly. She smiled softly at the young apprentice, her tail swishing gently.

Tawnypaw smiled and gave a nod tail flicking about happily"alright"she mewed.

Roaringkit chanted his sister's name with the rest of the clan as she touched noses with her mentor for the first time, a rush of pride filling his entire being. "Tawnypaw! Tawnypaw! Tawnypaw!"

He thought of the days spent in the nursery, and found himself reflecting back with awe at how much they have all changed. As he gazed upon his littlemate, the little kit couldn't help but feel that his sibling was going to be an awesome warrior.
