Rockpaw's Assessment [Closed]

Rockpaw dug his teeth into the side of his neck, baring it's throat for Lionspark to make the killing blow. Squeezing his eyes shut as he held it there, claws holding it's wings down. "This better count as two prey pieces." Rockpaw huffed, looking at the she-cat expectantly.


Final stun turn, Rockpaw looses 10 stamina, the owl looses 6 more health points.

Lionspark's gaze flickered up to Rockpaw as he requested that it counted as two pieces of prey. She opened her mouth to say a reply but held it back. That would wait until it was over. Not wanting to get her mouth filled with feathers, she reared onto her back legs and slashed at the owl's exposed throat with her claws. Blood sprayed the air as her aim struck true and the owl was left to choke on its own blood. She dropped to the ground, shaking her bloodied paw as she turned to look at the apprentice. There was silence for a few seconds before she sighed and lowered her head. "...Yes, it can count as two," she said in response before pausing and looking up at Rockpaw, wondering if he was going to say anything about the fact that she was following him. Certainly he had put the pieces together.

Lionspark used Upright Front Paws on the owl, dealing 11 damage and costing 20 stamina.

Rockpaw released the dead owl with a huff, relief softening his face before he gave Lionspark another frown, nodding as she agreed with his demand. Though Rockpaw felt like growling he did not, but continued to frown the frowniest frown one cat could ever frown. "This is my assessment? Okay. I'll get one more prey piece, seeing as I'm almost done." The tom spat, turning around to dive into the bushes away from Lionspark, the brambles that scraped his raw and talon marked back making him hold his breath to prevent from groaning.

Settling into a crouch Rockpaw made his way around the territory until he spotted a lizard scuttling around a couple of rocks and twigs, stopping he waited, then launched after it when he felt ready. Then missed, how'd he miss a lizard of all things? Spitting in anger it took the tom a couple of moments to calm down before continuing to finish up his stupid assessment.

Rockpaw continued to stalk, tail quivering as he was getting irritated with himself. Instead of moving on from the area he waited, and lucky him a squirrel came across his path, the tree in front of him housing a couple of beech nuts which the mouse was chewing on. Butt raising up it waggled as he crouched, he leaped again, praying to Starclan that they let him make the catch.

He made it! And he didn't vomit this time! For good measure though he took in a deep breath and held it as he grabbed the squirrel and shot off towards camp, grabbing his other prey item along the way. Busting into the camp he put his catch on the ground, seeing the owl there and striding quickly to the apprentice den. "Going to bed night." He huffed.
