Venomkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Thrushstar yowled.

Venomkit stepped into the clearing and, although trying to look mature and calm on the outside, was filled from head to toe with excitement. She knew today was her day. It was finally time for her to be an apprentice, finally time for her to get her apprentice name and leave the nursery. She approached Jaggedrock, her footsteps light with happiness. She looked around at the rest of the camp, trying to hide the anticipation in her gaze, and instead looked back at Thrushstar

"Tonight we gather to make this kit an apprentice," Thrushstar said. "Venomkit, from now... on until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Venompaw. Your mentor will be Rosefur. May she teach you everything that she knows." With that, he leaped off the rock to let the clan finish the ceremony.

Rosefur had been sitting in the crowd of cats, watching as the young kit got called up. She softly chuckled since she remembered when she was like that. It was when Thrushstar had said who her mentor was that she felt herself freeze. She had an apprentice already? The ginger she-cat was excited yes, but also nervous. But she will try her best to teach everything she knew to Venompaw. "Nice to meet you Venompaw, Im Rosefur."

The new apprentice nodded and dipped her head respectfully "It's nice to meet you Rosefur, I'm Venompaw and I'm honoured to be your apprentice." She was doing a good job at sounding calm when she wanted to just run around everywhere. She was an apprentice now, and had to act like it. She looked up at her mentor, resolve in her eyes "I'm going to make you proud! I'll be the best apprentice you'll ever have!"
