More Storms are Dappled With Life [OPEN BIRTH TOPIC - TC MC NEEDED]

Dapplecloud had never thought that she'd end up having a second litter with Stormstrike. Their first litter had grown up so well. She couldn't be prouder of Sparrowheart and Halfdawn. However, it saddened her everytime she thought of Shadekit, her kit that never even made it to apprentice-hood. Her belly wasn't as big as it had been during her first litter, which probably meant that there wouldn't be as many kits this time. All the she-cat wanted to do was sleep, for now. Dappecloud lay on her side in her nest, closing her eyes briefly, before sharp pain shot through her. It was familiar, she remembered it from when she had given birth to her first litter.
Out of instinct, the tortoiseshell queen yowled in shock and pain.
"Sparkpaw! Dreamleaf!" The she-cat called, her voice raising to a wail.

Stormstrike had been impatiently waiting for this day, and now it was finally here. Even though he hated hearing his mate in pain, he knew it meant that he would have more kits soon, and Halfdawn and Sparrowheart would be sisters to another kit. The blue-gray tom raced over to the nursery, immediately pausing when he saw Dapplecloud laying on her side, wailing in pain. He immediately sat down beside her, drawing his tail soothingly over her side. Stormstrike didn't say anything to her...he didn't want her to speak until the kits were done being born.

Hearing the pained, horrified caterwaul, Blacktwig raced to the den. He wasn't nearly as swift as he was when Emberfall gave birth, but he was fast. He leapt over brambles and whatnot, and his eyes blazed. He finally planted himself on the ground, landing for the final time. He peered into the nursery, and entered in, his coat shaggier from tussling oddly with thistles. He finally halted, mouth gaping with pride. "Stormstrike!" exclaimed Blacktwig, tail vacillating. "Dapplecloud! Congratulations!" The tom was about to continue, when he realized how much excruciating pain the tortoiseshell she-cat must be in. Blacktwig quieted down, blinking.

Dreamleaf heard the screech from the nursery and knew exactly what it was about. The Medicine Cat lumbered around, gathering her supplies before she hurried over to the nursery and entered. She settled down and began to lay out her herbs and supplies. She set out a wad of wet moss and she had time to find a good strong stick. Dreamleaf then set her paw on the Queen's belly and waited for the convulsions. She told the she-cat to push.

Dapplecloud bit down harshly on the stick, and it began to snap and splinter in her jaws as pain flooded through her. Her eyes were shut tight. However, after pushing as hard as she could, Dapplecloud felt the pain vanish. All she felt now was exhaustion. However, at her side, there was a little gray kit mewling and squirming. He was gorgeous. Dapplecloud began purring almost immediately as she gently pushed the kit towards her to begin suckling.
"Boulderkit..." She muttered, then looked up at her mate for approval.

Stormstrike nodded, happily, agreeing with the name. It seemed to be the only kit in his litter, but he would love his kit the same. It was practically a tiny replica of him. He lowered his muzzle and gently nuzzled his son.
"Boulderkit is a perfect name." The tom purred, then nuzzled his mate affectionately.

"Boulderkit..." he repeated. Blacktwig's heart swelled.

"He's perfect."
