Lion Cubs are Born at Night [Open Birth Topic, MC/MCA needed]

Nightheart was resting inside the nursery, she had been having some trouble sleeping lately, knowing that her kits were supposed to arrive during these days. Such thoughts were enough to take away some hours of sleep from any Queen and she just hoped that everything would go well.

Her eyes landed on a small kit resting against her fur. An apprentice had brought a clearly newborn she-cat not long ago, a white and grey kit, and thanks to her motherly instincts kicking in she had decided to adopt her. She still was thinking on a name for her, but wanted Lionfur to be there when naming any of their kits, biological or not.

It was then when she felt the first contraction, finally, the time had come “L-Leafheart! Ci-Cinderpaw!” The dark warrior felt somewhat scared, this was her first litter after all and she wasn’t sure of what she was supposed to do “Lionfur!”.

Cindercloud rushed into the nursery immediately after hearing Nightheart's call. She knew that the queen had been expecting Lionfur's kits for a while now, and she must be feeling contractions. The gray she-cat silently looked Nightheart up and down, before gently placing a paw on the queen's swollen belly.
"Okay, Nightheart, She began, nodding at the she-cat, "I want you to push when I say so."
The gray she-cat kept her paw gingerly rested on Nightheart's belly, before she could feel a ripple of kicking.
"Push!"

OOC: I hope I got Deerkit's colors right? The image you used for her was kinda blurry, so I have my doubts.

Nightheart smiled with relief as soon as Cindercloud rushed in, she had to admit that she felt a lot more relaxed with the medicine cat around. Said moment, however, was really short lived for the queen as she felt another contraction, way stronger than the last ones. She dug her claws in her nest, barely feeling Cindercloud’s paw on her belly. She, however, didn’t questioned her nor hesitated to obey as soon as she was told to push, bringing the first kit from her litter, a small black and ginger she-cat, to this world.

The nameless kit remained silent, even with her adopted mother's sudden rush of worry. She was hardly more than a few days old, but nonetheless it would make her older than her siblings. The little ball of grey and white fur was oblivious to that fact that she would even have siblings, or even that that time was now.

Lionfur heard his mate's yowl and rushed to the nursery. "N-Nightheart! Are you okay?" He watched in a slight panic as she bore the first kit, and he immediately began licking it, filled with a sense of awe. My kit.

The second kit was born finally, then, white and black with odd patches of ginger along her pelt. Squealing, she flopped over to her mother, seeking warmth. Her pink mouth opened wide, letting out a mew for the world to hear.
Finally. 
Her time had come.

Nightheart scratched the materials of her nest as the strong contractions forced her to push instinctively once more, the kit this time being a black and very dark brown tom that would look a lot like her if it wasn’t because he had stripes instead of rosettes.

Elmkit mewled, not liking his new surroundings, it was much warmer where he had come from, and out here it was cold.

Nightheart jaws closed tightly with the next contraction, to the point where her teeth almost started to hurt. The next kit was a looked like Lionfur, with the main difference of her being a she-cat.

Lionfur licked the next kit, gazing worriedly at his mate. He felt a touch of pride seeing that one she-kit looked like him. These kits would be a valuable asset in the future.

Elmkit tried to move around, trying to seek the warmth of which he came from.

(OOC: just in case you don't know, I am pretending that this happened before my earlier posts because back then I was going to assume that her parents are NPCs)
 IC: Squirrelkit did not respond until Lionfur started licking her as her body warmed up. Letting out a feeble mew, she squirmed around until she found her mother's body, where she curled into a ball and yelped small yowls of confusion. She heard voices, none of them clear, a higher-pitched meow of a queen, and the deeper rumble of a tom. She heard other noises, the mewing of kits just like her, and the sound of rustling moss. She let out a low wail and then suddenly stopped when it hurt her kit-sensitive ears.

OOC: I’ll just include the last two kits in this same post…wow, this litter had more kits than I expected…

Shortly after, the two last kits from the litter were brought to this world, a small tom and a she-cat. Nightheart sighed in relief as the pain slowly faded, and now she felt way too tired. She, however, fought against the temptation of just falling asleep, looking at her mate with a smile “H…how should…we na…name them?” She was clearly tired and barely conscious at this point, but it didn’t stopped her from licking her kits, both the biological ones and the adopted one, and pulling them closer to her belly to keep them warm.

Owlkit mewed in the sence of being warmed by her fathers tongue she was getting relaxed and started to relive and then started getting quiet and calm.

Owlkit then snuggled close too her mother and started falling asleep.
