A patrol for Frostpaw [closed]

As they headed back to camp Frostpaw sniffed the air once again, hoping to find some prey in the swampy forest. He saw something dart away out of the corner of his eye. With a yowl, Frostpaw leaped over a fern and slammed his paws down on the fleeing prey. Mud splattered everywhere and thoroughly soaked his legs. Frostpaw looked at his prize, a rather large pine cone, and started to feel his pelt heat up in embarrassment. Standing up he glanced over at Mudfoot.

Chuckling as Frostpaw's attempt in hunting, he stopped to look at the apprentice with a smile but soon continued to make his way back to camp. "I think you might want to work on your scenting skills a little more," he laughed, a bit amused at his apprentice's enthusiasm for hunting even though he didn't exactly succeed.
