Rowan versus Lion [Closed]

Rowanpaw was out by the Fallen Oak checking the border for the clan. While the border patrol would renew the markers, he was making sure Thunderclan didn't move the border on them trying to claim more territory for themselves. The brown and orange apprentice jumped up on the decaying log sniffing the air seeing if anything was off.

Lionpaw stalked though the undergrowth that was the ThunderClan territory, her ears perked as she scanned the forest. She was attempting to learn the layout of the land, getting use to walking it and had decided to wander the forest alone - rather sure she could find her way back to the camp if needed. She tasted the air, catching wind of an unfamiliar scent. Was she near a border? Her interest peaked, she bounded after the source of the scent until she came to find a brown tom standing on a log - looking to be older then her and she wasn't sure if he was an apprentice or warrior. "Hello?"

Rowanpaw's head instantly looked at the Thunderclan apprentice. She was younger than him it seemed, but she was getting close to the border. "Stay back you are getting close to the border." The skyclan apprentice warned. He didn't want to take action against the other apprentice, he wasn't fond of fighting but he would chase her off if she did cross the border.

Lionpaw came to a stop as the other apprentice spoke. Her ears flickered back as she frowned, judging him before scanning the clearing around her. Then, she took a daring step forward. "But maybe I want to explore the border," she said softly, but her eyes were narrowed and harden. She didn't plan on crossing the border but she was going to explore every inch of the ThunderClan Territory so help her StarClan. She didn't want to cause trouble, but she sure wasn't above doing so.

"That wouldn't be advised. You might cross it." He didn't want the apprentice to get hurt by the coming Skyclan patrol. It was better to get her away before someone more hostile came along, though he didn't think about the words he was choosing. "You can explore the border by staying a safe distance away, and I'm sure Riverclan wouldn't give you such warnings."

Lionpaw gave the SkyClan apprentice a sharp frown, her tail lashing. "Maybe I don't want to cross the border in the first place," she muttered as she took another step forward as she met his eyes. "I'm sure your territory are tree-lengths lowering then ThunderClan's territory," she taunted - although the words were really just spilling out of her mouth without a thought. "Besides, I could easily take on one of those fish-breaths in my sleep!" She sighed as she stepped forward once more. "I'm going to explore my territory to my heart's content - you can't stop me."

Rowanpaw glared at the apprentice now. All he was trying to do was keep her from getting hurt, why couldn't she understand that? "Please you would drop the moment a warrior go their paws on you." He was getting a tad angry now. "And Skyclan territory is much better than Thunderclan territory. We don't have to worry about tripping constantly."

Lionpaw...Well, admittedly she had to agree with the fact that she wouldn't stand a chance against a warrior but she wasn't going to tell him that so she simply rolled her eyes with a shake of her head. But when he dared to say that his territory was better then hers? Oh, he had crossed the line. Her eyes narrowed, scoffing as she took a few more steps forward - getting rather close to the border. "Ha, you just have to worry about tripping because you aren't used to it. We ThunderClan cats know how to move around the undergrowth like RiverClan cats know how to swim," she taunted with a smile. "And what do you SkyClan cats know how to do? Act like squirrels and birds up in your treetops while we real warriors keep our paws firmly on the ground." As she went on, she failed to realize how close she was truly getting to the border and how angry she was making the SkyClan apprentice with her taunts.

"We actually use our trees! Unlike you you just lay in their shade, and we can easily find hidden prey while you are stuck staring at the trees wondering when they are going to come down. If anything we are the real warriors." Rowanpaw hissed. Thunderclan tried to be high and mighty when they were just a downgraded skyclan.

"Hmpf," Lionpaw frowned as she glared up at the apprentice before a small smile flashed on her face. "Oh yes, how could I be so foolish! Of course you use your trees - for hiding from fights like cowards. You hide above the fights while the rest of us clash claws on the ground until your enemies are weak - then you drop down from above to steal the credit."

"You are the ones that hide in the underbrush like cowards!" Rowanpaw shouted before jumping off the log and tackling Lionpaw.

The grin on Lionpaw's face vanished the moment Rowanpaw shouted in anger and leaped toward her - claws outstretched. Mouse-dung. Rowanpaw rammed into her, claws scraping at her fur as she cried out in a mixture of pain, anger, and perhaps a bit of fear. Her reaction was quick - swiping her front claws at Rowanpaw in an attempt to get him to back off from her.

Lionpaw used Front Paw Strike, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Rowanpaw was thankful for once that he was close to becoming a warrior. He was already taught all the moves he needed to know for now so he had a full range. The brown and orange apprentice stepped back when Lionpaw slashed at his face before sliding under her belly and scratching her with his claws.

Lionpaw cried out as Rowanpaw slashed at her underbelly, hoping away from the tom as blood started to trickle down her fur. She attempted to catch her breath, her eyes wide with panic but also harden with anger. With a war cry of her own, she charged forward and leaped at the apprentice with claws out, bearing her fangs as she barreled into the tom.

Lionpaw used Run and Tackle dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Rowanpaw let out a small huff as she ran into him but quickly regained his ground. He wasn't going to lose this. Once he was steady he slashed a paw at Lionpaw not caring where it hit, as long as it hit.
