Almost Dead (Open)

OoC: Having to do a thing for Hawkpaw too.

She didn't know how it started, but it did. One morning after bringing her father back from WindClan, she was coughing up blood. Next, she was in the medicine den for moons, struggling for every breath. She was getting better but...

Yes, she was getting better. She could return to being an apprentice soon.

Waspstep was busy. Going back an forth between his warrior duties, training his apprentice. He did his best to make time for his friend Hawkpaw. He knew she was sick. It was concerning to the brown warrior. He hoped that she would get better, he wouldn't be able to handle if she left him so early in her life.

As soon as he got back from a patrol he went over the the fresh kill pile, picked up a mouse. He hoped that Hawkpaw would be able to share this with him. The warrior moved to the medicine den and went inside. He placed the mouse on the ground and spoke. "Hey Hawkpaw."

"Hey Waspstep." the apprentice said softly. She should be a warrior right now, training an apprentice like Waspstep was. "I should be healed soon. We still don't know what was wrong." she nibbled on the mouse before scooting over in her nest, motioning for Wasppaw to sit.

Waspstep moved around so he didn't disturb Hawkpaw and her meal and sat down next to the sickly she-cat. "I was hoping they would know so that way if it happened again they could heal you faster." The brown warrior said. "Have you talked to Dawnflower about it? Maybe the elder would know?" Waspstep suggested.

"I assume we have. I don't know. Though, I feel better enough that they may assign me a new mentor and start me on some light patrols." Hawkpaw took another bite. She was growing old in this darned den.

Waspstep purred at her response. "Good, I will be happy to have you on my patrols again. I missed training together." The brown tom said. "I doubt I will be your mentor, but I would be more than happy to help you with some things." The young warrior settled down a little bit more getting comfortable and not to hurt his back to much

Hawkpaw purred as well, finishing the mouse. "How different is the forest?" she teased.

Waspstep sensed her teasing tone and decided to keep up with it. Gaining a sort of over dramatic tone he spoke, "Without you? It was so dull and boring!" He said falling over dramatically to add effect.
