Do I Want to Be Like You? Of Course I Do! (Closed for Thinny Thin-Thin)

Mottledpaw was confused. Blacktwig had been hurt lately, and she was concerned, as any normal, loving kit should be of their parents' condition. So, now that she was left to fend for herself, she could socialize with anyone. She decided to talk to somebody she had talked to before. Pinewhisker? No, he was a bit snappy. Sheeppaw? She was cool, but talking to her randomly didn't seem like the best approach. Mistywater? Ah, yes! Someone who she knew wouldn't get mad at her, and someone who she clearly knew. Maybe the silver she-cat could even take care of her while Blacktwig was away?

Mottledpaw didn't know. But what the newly apprenticed she-cat did know, was that she was bored. So, the red-and-white apprentice lumbered uncertainly up to the warrior's den, where Mistywater happened to be. The she-cat smiled. "Hi, Mistywater!" She purred coolly and nonchalantly, as if their encounter was by perfect chance. She stretched out a bit, hazel eyes glinting. Mottledpaw then rectified her posture, straightening up as her fluffed fur flattened again. "How's it going?"

Mistywater looked as Mottledpaw came up to her. recently her father had been crushed by a twoleg monster by the Thunderpath and he was currently in care of the medicine cat of ThunderClan. Mistywater is like a foster parent when this stuff happens now, and she would treat Mottledpaw like her own daughter now, not like a granddaughter.

The fluffy she-cat looked at Mottledpaw "I'm doing good" she mewed calmly "How are you doing?" she asked as she stretched out her hind legs.

"Good!" The young cat peeped, jumping onto shiny stones jutting smoothly out of the ground. The sky spiralled with different clouds, and one of Mottledpaw's favourite hobbies was to point them out. "Hey, that cloud looks like a mouse!" Mottledpaw exclaimed, licking her chops in hunger. She turned to Mistywater again. "What do you see, Mistywater?" She asked.

Mistywater looked at the clouds "A quiet path to StarClan" she purred, looking back at Mottledpaw "Are you hungry?" she asked as she noticed Mottledpaw lick herself.

"Slightly," mewed Mottledpaw with a shrug. "But, you know apprentices are supposed to eat last." It seemed as if the mottled red she-cat was much more disciplined than her father had been.

Mistywater nodded "Yes, but that would be the Clans fault they didn't feed the apprentices' earlier" she mewed "And the apprentices' do all that hard work, why be last?" she purred with a soft laugh.

"Yeah!" Mottledpaw agreed with a giggle, resting up against a tall tree. "They should, but Morningshine told me that others have to be fed first. And, they kinda do." She stared off, thinking of Cloverpool.
