Underneath the Trees lies the Ember (Closed for Thinny Thin-Thin)

Blacktwig explored Fourtrees. Without the light of a Gathering, the place seemed peaceful and calm. Shivering with the memories of the last one, Blacktwig's pawsteps remained light and calculated. He utilized his strength, leaping swiftly and elegantly, yet ever so quietly, amongst the bushes. His pads, hardened by his apprenticeship and usual clan life, landed onto some soft, wet soil. He sighed happily, waiting for Emberpaw to arrive, as they had promised.

For now, Blacktwig's watchful blue gaze flitted from tree to tree. Faint scents of mouse and vole filled his nostrils, yet they were quite stale. He couldn't help himself from visiting this she-cat, though, no matter how much his mind told him to. He then heard pawsteps. She's here!

Emberpaw explored silently - almost at least. She saw Blackpaw's pelt and her eyes twinkled as she smiled, she honestly couldn't stand most of her time away from Blackpaw already, it was funny, he was probably a warrior already and she wasn't, they were both quite older from each other even though Emberpaw was already becoming a warrior soon as well.

Her calico pelt glistened as the moon beamed on it, it wasn't full though. She stared up at it as she slowly walked towards Blackpaw, it was sad she hadn't seen him at the gathering, she didn't even remember if she was alive then, but soon remembering that kits don't go.

Getting too carried away already she bounced over to Blackpaw, excitement splat on her face and her cheeks lit up a happy red as she rubbed against Blackpaw joyfully "Hello my Black" she purred, the nickname wasn't the best though she thought it was cute, she sat down, comparing her height with his already "So what's your warrior name?" she asked looking at him.

"Blacktwig," Blacktwig replied, sitting down as he cocked his broad head. He let out a soft giggle instinctively. "How did you know?" He asked, mock teasingly as he brushed his pelt against Emberpaw's flirtatiously. A deep purr rumbled in his throat as he did, for the time he was away from Emberpaw, he had never forgotten her.

"So how are you?" He questioned, a knowing gleam in his blue orbs. His speckled pelt was glazed over with a glossy shine to it, and in the moonlight, it looked as if it had been coated with a thin layer of silver.

Emberpaw smiled "Well I am already half your size" she laughed, nodding at Blacktwig as he spoke "I'm fine, I'm still troubled about my mother...Cruel..." she hissed silently under her breath near the end "You?" she asked.

Blacktwig's gaze turned to Emberpaw, comfortingly. He pressed his nose against her's, feeling slightly red beneath his pelt. "I won't judge you for the actions of your mother," he said, tail twining with Emberpaw's own. "And," he growled quietly, jolting back to reality in an instant, frustrated with how distracted he had become at Emberpaw's question, "Otherwise, I'm doing quite well." As he reported his status, an amused glint returned to his eyes.

Emberpaw nodded "Good" she mewed "I want to know that your fine, how's your family, any new siblings?" she asked, flicking her tail at the thought. It was weird, he had such a big family while she came from a family of four, well two now...

"Yes!" Blacktwig responded blissfully. "Mistywater had a litter before my warrior ceremony," Blacktwig sighed, and euphoria seemed to be strong in his tone as he gazed at the pretty she-cat. He leaned forwards, blinking curiously. "And you?" He asked.

Emberpaw shook her head "Nothing new for me" she mewed "But someone did get exiled while I was there" she mewed, informing some news that she didn't really need to share. It wasn't really her business but she thought that Blacktwig might know a thing or two above Kesterelstorm.

Blacktwig tilted his head. "Who?" He questioned, believing it was no one in particular. He attempted to think of who it could possibly be. "Uh.. I don't know." He admitted, with a slight chuckle.

Emberpaw shook her head "Never mind" she mewed, frowning.

Blacktwig glanced down at his paws, shaking his own head. "Alright," he meowed, taking note of Emberpaw's uneasy frown.

Emberpaw looked up at him and smiled, she then leaped up and sprung onto him with a large pounce - she grinned.

Blacktwig purred as she did, licking the calico she-cat's cheek, as affection welled up in his warm blue eyes. He scuffled around, pretending to squirm like a piece of trapped prey. He set his large paws on her shoulderblades gently, embracing his presence this dark night.

Emberpaw smiled and touched her nose to his, her cheeks blushed as she looked up at the moon and purred.

Blacktwig purred as well, feeling hot beneath his pelt as he blushed, his cheeks turning a dusty pink. His ears pinned themselves back as moonlight entered his dilated eyes, yet they straightened up again as the moon was hidden by wisps of dark blue cloud. The night was silent, and he could spend time with his future mate.
