Bite, Claw, Swipe [CLOSED]

The weather that had once been hot was beginning to cool down. The leaves of ThunderClan's territory had been changing slowly but surely from their normal green hue to various shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown, the colors of a sunset. Leaf-fall was right around the corner. Today was a very enjoyable day for those who were tired of the heat, but it wasn't enjoyable for Sheeppaw, not at all. She had Pinepaw on her mind. The brown tom that was moons older than her did nothing but quarrel with Sheeppaw, and it never seemed to end. Along with that, she had been chosen to patrol the Thunderpath with some other ThunderClan cats. It reeked of monsters and the grass alongside of it seemed dead and had the same smell of the Thunderpath itself. Now, she she-cat patrolled along the Thunderpath with the other ThunderClan cats. She knew that the main place they had to check was that small tunnel that was underneath the Thunderpath. They'd have to check and see if there was any activity from ShadowClan here. Sheeppaw had kept her jaws shut during the entire patrol, but hopefully they wouldn't encounter any ThunderClan cats.

Nutpaw had been overjoyed to be put on this patrol! She had had nothing to do all day and now she finally could make herself useful. She had been the opposite of Sheeppaw, chattering the entire way there on how excited she was. She had only been to the Thunderpath once, and even though it smelled awful and was pretty horrifying, it intrigued her to see the bright colors of the monsters racing past faster than a cat could ever run. She was especially happy, because her father had been assigned to join this patrol as well, and she didn't usually get to spend a lot of time with Mudfoot. The brown and white she-cat glanced at the monsters heading by as the patrol headed along the side.
"Are we almost at the tunnel?" She asked, wondering if one of the warriors knew.

(I forgot to say this in the Plotting Pages post, but we'll use the Battle System since there are a lot of cats fighting.)

Blacktwig padded beside Sheeppaw, nose wrinkled at the disgusting smell. His sleek sable pelt was neatly groomed, the midday sun hanging high in the sky. Clothed over it were clouds, wreathed neatly and nicely. The young warrior's head remained raised, but there was a look of question in his vibrant blue eyes. His pawsteps did not rustle the grass, and ThunderClan was in a healthy state. There was nothing for the tom to worry about. The tunnels had not yet come into view, yet he was hopeful. He squinted his eyes, narrowing his vision to a sliver. The young warrior yielded for a moment to scent any possible prey. Blacktwig was rather keen on hunting, as well as any duties he could fulfill. He glanced at Sheeppaw briefly before continuing.

Blacktwig did not bother to wonder what was on the fluffy apprentice's mind. He already knew what his little sister was thinking about, and he was stabbed with guilt as he did. His paws sank comfortably into the soil with each precise step. He looked behind him to ensure the rest of his patrol's safety. They were on their way smoothly, and Blacktwig was confident. He needed a workout at all open opportunities, and this would perfect his strength. He slunk carefully through the grass, which was lengthening all throughout.

Blacktwig did not see any other cats come into view yet. He smiled brightly, despite his sister's depressed mood. He always attempted to maintain a positive attitude, yet this time was different. His normally sharp-tongued sister, Sheeppaw, was thinking too much of Pinepaw, and too less of the events around her. He gave her a gentle nudge to jolt her back to reality.

Morningshine had been relieved the moment she had stepped paw outside this morning. The day was beautiful. Not too much heat, or cold, and the changing leaves were such a sight. The she-cat just smiled as a soft, cool breeze went through her fur. It was a good day for a patrol. Yet, the stench of the Thunderpath and the defeaning sound of the monsters racing by disturbed the silence and peace. However, Morningshine tried to keep a positive demeanor for the sake of Sheeppaw. She knew that Sheeppaw and Blacktwig were siblings from different litters, and she knew that Sheeppaw was intelligent, but she couldn't understand why the white apprentice had such a sour attitude. Morningshine was oblivious to Sheeppaw and Pinepaw's most recent feud, yet she did know that the two apprentices had something negative going between them. Meanwhile, Morningshine had her own problems. Stormstrike was still gone and she missed him more and more everyday. The two could've been sharing jokes and having a casual conversation right now if he was still here. Every night, before she went to sleep, she prayed to StarClan to bring Stormstrike back, but he hadn't shown up.

The fluffy she-cat padded on the other side of Blacktwig, noticing that Sheeppaw was still upset about something. Morningshine decided to let Blacktwig handle it. She lifted her nose to try and sniff out the slightest scent of ShadowClan, or the tunnel, but the nasty fumes of the Thunderpath seemed to block out anything else. A white monster raced by, speeding past the ThunderClan cats before disappearing into the distance. Out of shock, Morningshine's fur spiked up. She looked like a fluffy spike-ball. Twolegs must be the stupidest creatures on earth, letting those monsters swallow them up and carry them away like that...

Mudfoot led a patrol towards the Thunderpath, enjoying the weather. Now that everything with the DarkForest was over with, every cat could relax and it felt truly wonderful. Leaf-Fall had begun, and the sound of crunching leaves made him want to jump around like a kit. Padding towards the Thunderpath, he wondered how to make this patrol a bit more interesting and an idea soon came to mind. Turning around, the tom slowed his pace. "How about we check out the tunnels?" he meowed with his usual cheery smile, hoping that they'd agree with his idea. Normal patrols were getting a bit boring, and the tom hoped to have fun and catch some underground prey.

Falconpaw followed Mudfoot in his patrol, his tail high and a snarl coming from him like always when he was close to the foul Thunderpath. Worse, the stupid mouse-brain wanted to go underneath, as if it wasn't loud and stinky enough for him up here. "Ugh, fine, but don't get us all stinking of this thing!" he mewed and flicked his tail towards the rough and black stone on which monsters run.

(can someone kill him in this? Accidents happen :3)

Redfeather padded alongside Mudfoot, sniffing the Thunderpath. He wrinkled his nose at the putrid scent, but turned to the other warrior and nodded. "We haven't been down there lately. We'd better check in the tunnels, plus we might catch underground prey."

Blizzardshine walked alongside her clanmates, taking a deep breath and enjoying the soft scents of the territory that she knew so well, especially knowing that the foul smells of the Thunderpath would overcome these. She proved her own point correct as soon as they arrived to the place, having to resist the temptation of rubbing her nose with her paw or retreat deeper into the forest to avoid the smell that assaulted her nostrils without mercy. This was a patrol they needed to do after so many days without checking these parts of the territory after all, and as a full grown warrior she couldn’t just leave or complain about it.

These patrol seemed to be as peaceful as any other, and Blizzardshine was more than happy with it, after all, even if the white she-cat never had liked to fight, the bloody battle she had to endure against the Dark Forest not once, but twice, had been more than enough to convince her that fights had to be avoided as often as possible. She understood now that thing can’t always be solved though smiles and words, and sometimes claws must be unsheathed, but fighting could bring a lot of pain to the cats involved, their families and their clan. Younger cats probably ignored this fact, and were eager to dive head first into battle, however, she could understand that unnecessary battles were better if they were never fought.

The warrior's eyes landed on the tunnels as soon as they approached them enough for them to be visible, and her nose could tell them that they hadn’t been checked in a long time. Maybe it was time to finally give them a quick look.

Falconpaw charged first in the tunnel,mwrink.ing his nose as the monster scent the dIrt scent mingled in his head. The apprentice flicked his tail for them to folow, as if he were the warrior and they the apprentices, descenfing through the tight tunnel. But just when the apprentice thought the ShadowClanners were about to the middle, faintnsmell came to him.

"ThunderClan...? HOW DARE THEY." he hissed back at the three cats behind him.

Waiting for Falconpaw to go in, Mudfoot squeezed through the hole and waited a moment for his eyes to adjust before moving on. The patrol padded through the darkness and let out a sigh, starting to feel a bit more claustrophobic. The tom had to keep head low and tail close to him, for the apprentices behind him might accidentally step on it. Stopping in his tracks he sniffed the air, and gave a nod to Falconpaw. The scent was fresh, and that meant only one thing. "ThunderClan is here, stay alert," he whispered quietly to the patrol. Maybe coming into the tunnels wasn't such a good idea after all.

Blacktwig gave a small growl that rose up like bubbling water, ever so swiftly. He dug his claws into the soil, gaze watchful. "I smell ShadowClan," he reported, stance appropriate. His head remained raised, Blizzardshine at his side and Sheeppaw behind him. He shuddered, the chilly breeze of the outside was nothing compared to the damp, cramped space of the tunnels. He blinked slowly, although his fur remained flat. He would not fight unless he truly needed to.

Morningshine blinked once as her eyes immediately adjusted to the light adjustment in the tunnel. As soon as she entered, a whole bunch of smells entered her nostrils. Fresh and stale ThunderClan scent, the scents of her Clanmates, the Thunderpath, prey, and...fresh ShadowClan scent? She nodded at Blacktwig's words, placing her tail on Sheeppaw's shoulders to not do or say anything rash. She lifted to try to and scent if they were there at the moment, and in realizing that they were, she paused.
"We mean no harm! We're just patrolling the border!" She called out.
Sure, maybe ShadowClan had hostile thoughts, but she didn't.

Blacktwig nodded with agreement for the she-cat, yet added no possibly harmful words of his own. He checked Sheeppaw's expression for any evident anger, before returning his gaze ahead of him. He could see long shadows cast across the mossy wall.

Falconpaw burst towards the smell of ThunderClan until he reafhed the pattol of four cats, and raised his tail aggrsssively, fluffing the fur on his back. "Oh, I thought I smelled mluse-dung, sorry." he hissed to the other patrol of cats. . "Last time I checked, this was ShadowClan's, was it not?" he continued with a spat and a furious lash of his tail.

Redfeather hissed at the incoming ThunderClan cats. "That's right, you know this place belongs to ShadowClan. Get out now, trespassers. Before we make you." He unsheathed his claws for all to see, without a hint of sublimity. He wanted to show them he meant business.

Blacktwig backed up, giving a respectful nod. As he turned around, however, he noticed some of his cats were bristling with anger. He stood rigid with his fur fluffed up. "Let's go," he urged angrily, however, some of the cats didn't budge.
