New Moon [Final DF TOPIC]

"There you are Hickorypaw!" Redpaw whispered under his breath, as to not interrupt the leaders. He listened to Webtail speak, and couldn't help but swell with pride when he indirectly mentioned Redpaw, as well as his father.

"Sorry! I got stuck in a bramble bush and it was hard to get out!" He whispered back to his brother.

Darkfrost padded in with his clan and sat down in the clearing. This was the first gathering since the Dark Forest took over. He wondered how it would turn out. As the leaders started to speak, he listened. Something felt wrong inside of him, and he looked up at the starless sky. He was loyal to the Dark Forest now, but he was starting to regret it.

Crowpaw followed his father into the clearing and sat beside him, amber eyes scanning the clearing for a certain clan mate. The black tom spotted Tawnypaw, then stood up and walked over to her without glancing back at his father. He knew that Darkfrost would be very disappointed that he left him for a she-cat, but Crowpaw was starting to grow angry at Darkfrost's constant attitude of having to control everything that Crowpaw did. He listened as the leaders spoke.

Adderpaw followed Shadowclan into the clearing. The long-furred tom sat down with a group of Shadowclan cats and watched as his first gathering started.

Blazingpaw padded in with Thunderclan and sat down with a few warriors and apprentices, then listened.

Blackpaw didn't speak anymore, head hung low, looking down at his paws mysteriously. His bright blue eyes were the only thing that illuminated his face, as dark blue clouds obscured the moon. Blackpaw winced, as if that were a sign of bad luck. He shuffled slightly in his spot.

Tawnypaw glanced over as Crowpaw sat next to her. "Didn't know you were here tonight," she whispered.

Sickly, the WindClan leader was next to speak, the white tabby taking up her place after Webtail to speak. "WindClan has been good. Rabbits are plentiful and queens have birthed new litters. Whilst we are united under the Dark Forest, any incursions on our territories won't be tolerated." That was all the she-cat had to say before stepping back, her gaze settling warily on RiverClan and ShadowClan.

Featherpaw tilted her head to the side slightly when Blackpaw ignored her question. She was just about to open her mouth to give him a sharp reprimand when a leader yowled for every cat's attention. The black-and-white she-cat glared at the black apprentice beside her and flicked his pelt with her tail sharply before sitting rigid and listening carefully to what the leaders were saying. Nothing interesting, but she had to listen in case her mentor would quiz her about it later.

Treestep's eyes darted around while the leaders spoke, it was finally her turn as she padded forward slightly, clearing her throat and trying to stand tall and proud. "T-that is very good to here, Thunderclan is also doing well, we have settled back into our territory and camp just fine with prey being abundant and plentiful.All thanks to the Dark Forest." The she-cats last words echoed through her head, her once boisterous and laid back personality was now gone and her head was filled with anxiety of what the future would hold, was that too because of the Dark Forest?

Amberclaw sat directly next to his apprentice, Owlpaw, on edge for what might happen next and periodically looked back and fourth at him. He made sure to be on guard to protect the last thing that mattered in his life, his apprentice.

OOC: Grizzle is late to the Gathering as usual. Take my first born as everyone else can't join.


As Scorchfrost looked around the clearing, he nodded to his fellow rebels. He sat close to Gentlenose. His anxiety did not show, but was instead masked by a cold gaze. He'd been a wreck lately, obsessively grooming himself, a sign of his restlessness. It was sort of a good thing: His pelt was very clean for the gathering. The deputy was beginning to lose hope. As each day passed, he felt as though the reign of terror would never end. He often wanted to take Stormpaw to twolegplace with his tail between his legs, where his mate would wait for him... The satisfaction in that would be momentary, and he'd soon feel so overcome with guilt that he'd probably stop caring about anything anymore. He knew this, and that is why he stayed. He was no hero, and he didn't want to be one. He just wanted a good life for his children and his clan, who had given him so much. After all this time, Darkfrost was right. 

The deputy chuckled to himself. He saw his littermate across the clearing, shrouded in the darkness. He wondered if he would ever talk to that tom again. He hoped that he could catch up with him and clear the score. He could die any day now, and he'd hate to leave this world without truly getting to know his brother. Even he knew, however, that it was a foolish wish.

Blackpaw's gaze flickered ominously towards Scorchfrost, yet replaced by his usual, steely look, he wore a bold, yet understanding glance. His deep gaze shone like blue raspberry orchids as he stared out, orbs softened by the dim light that splattered the ground in unique ways. His ears seemed to be lined with golden, beautifully complimenting his tawny splotches. Ginger-brown and white spots darted across Blackpaw's slim, glossy black skull.

Blackpaw seemed confident, yet not so that his posture would be deemed to prideful, that he wouldn't disgrace anyone. In the midst of his ignorance, however, stirred thoughts quite complex. Blackpaw's tail brushed the rough wood of the dark chocolate trees. He blinked slowly, seeming strangely mysterious for his age, and title.

OOC: I finally got WiFi! Shhh, my cats are here, and Nettletail is no longer pregnant, and stuff like that.

IC: Nettletail sat by the base of the Great Rock, giving a smile to Lost and a slight scowl to Saltpelt. She nodded at the leaders' announcements, but her mind was on her kits. She trusted that they would be safe for an hour where she had left them in the mossy tree hollow, but she worried about them constantly. Hopefully they were okay.

Shimmerheart sat in the back and gazed at her son. She hadn't thought that he would look so well up there. The elder knew Webtail's problems, and thought he was dealing with them rather well. Though he had sided with the Dark Forest, she still loved him, and hoped for his return to StarClan.

Halfmoon sat with Reedfang, more thasn a little apprehensive of all the deceased cats around her. She had often thought of joining the exiles, but she had a brother, a son and a mate to think of. She had lost Reedfang and Fallenblaze once, and she would never lose them again.

Freckleface sat near Shimmerheart, her head up and her tail straight, not letting her fear show. She still felt resentful of Webtail the usurper, but not the same. Now, when she looked at him sitting on the Great Rock, she couldn't help but think how his handsome profile fit the position of leader, and how brave he must be to stand up there, knowing how much of ShadowClan hated him. She tried to shake the thoughts away, but they stubbornly remained. Was she.... in love? StarClan forbid! And yet the idea persisted.

One-eye and and Firepaw strayed at the back of the WindClan group, eying the living cats carefully. They had a job to do and they would do it. Firepaw's toothy grin stretched across his muzzle while One-eye kept her usual grim demeanor. In another area of the clearing, Smokestorm walked in confidently with his thick dark pelt swishing around him. He looked up sharply at his two students, Frostfall and Webtail, and smirked at his success. His tail flicked behind him. The Dark Forest's reign would be unstoppable. Finally, the freedom they had craved! And yet, something was not quite right...

Frostfall stepped forward it was her turn to speak. "Riverclan is fairing well. The fish are abundant, and we have had many new apprentices and kits these moons. We have named a few warriors." The white tabby stepped back. She had a feeling Morningstar wanted to speak and would probably speak soon.

Oakcloud cheered in the background

Blackpaw's bright blue eyes were burnished in the pale moonlight, as he gazed from afar at the ShadowClan she-cat, and the mentor of Ploverpaw, Freckleface. Blackpaw was often shocked at his own knowledge of the other clans. His orbs were glazed with thought, and he was utterly fatigued. Though Blackpaw was not disconcerted, his expression did not show jubilation. He rode his gaze across the large band of cats before him. His tail twitched with oscillation, mixed with the foreboding sense of unease.

Blackpaw's tail whorled around his lustrous frame, painted with that same pattern. He turned to Featherpaw. His voice had significantly dropped to a whisper, with a hint of divulgence. His tone was ridiculed with worry. "This Gathering will be interesting, won't it?" He asked, awaiting an agreement. Though the she-cat was bitter, he had a sense of respect for her.
