Patrol (Open)

OOC: For those who need their fill on requirements~

IC: Webtail left his den, still getting used to being alone in the leader's den. He stood at the entrance, having planned a patrol with his son, with everything going on, it would be nice to get out and be with his clanmates.

Lightningpaw slipped from the nettle patch he had been resting near to meet with his father, butting his shoulder playfully before looking up at him. "It took you long enough!" He teased, earning a cuff on his ear from the ShadowClan leader.

Muddypaw saw Lightningpaw and Webtail near the entrance, he padded over. Looking at the two, knowing this was a patrol "If there's a patrol I'm joining!" he purred.

Freckleface despised the "leader" of ShadowClan. She wanted Leopardfang back. But she couldn't abandon her Clan. And besides, Leopardfang had asked her to stay and take care of Shimmerheart and Tigerstorm. Whether or not this Clan was still ShadowClan remained to be seen, but a patrol was a patrol. "I'll join," she meowed shortly, disdain for the Dark Forest tom heavy in her voice

Littlepaw padded over to Lightningpaw, Webtail, Muddypaw, and Freckleface as she saw a patrol forming. "I'd like to join too if that's alright." She smiled cheerfully. It was directed at all of them, except Webtail she had no respect for him for obvious reasons, but mostly because he allowed those Dark Forest cats to take over and drive out her mentor, Leopardfang, and also Thrushstar.

Webtail nodded. "This is enough to start a patrol, any other will just have to join us out there." He slipped through the tunnel, unaffected by the negative feelings towards him casting a reassuring smile to Lightningpaw.

Lightningpaw looked at Freckleface, growling lowly before spotting Littlepaw, a last glare at Freckleface faded as he smiled at Littlepaw. He followed his father out of camp, looking up at the sun filtering through the pine needles.

Muddypaw padded on next to Lightningpaw "Is this your first patrol?" he asked.

Littlepaw glanced at Lightningpaw as she saw him smile at her and she smiled back before slowing her pace to walk next to him, occasionally brushing up against him.

Freckleface followed the "leader" and apprentices, giving a friendly nod to Littlepaw and a green-eyed glare to Lightningpaw. But she was mostly silent. How could Webtail be so... well... upbeat about this whole Dark Forest thing?

Shimmerheart watched her son from the elders' den, hazel eyes sad. How had her and Leopardfang's son wandered so far from StarClan? As Webtail padded into this forest, the black she-cat offered a silent prayer to StarClan. Please... Watch over my son. Bring him back to you.

Littlepaw smiled returning the friendly nod to Freckleface before noticing the glare she gave Lightningpaw. She ignored it and kept walking as they headed out into the forest.

Muddypaw watched as the three spoke to each other through movements, he sighed, as he wasn't so talkative he thought that he wouldn't get much of the love.

Webtail gave Lightningpaw a look with a hint of warning, he didn't want fighting right now. "We'll hunt and mark the borders as we move along them." He mewed as they went further into the territory and away from camp, scenting the air as he searched for any prey.

Lightningpaw shook his head. "This will be my third patrol actually." He mewed, brushing against Littlepaw in response. He felt odd around her, everything was a blur in his mind, he just knew it felt nice to be around the blue-eyed apprentice.

Littlepaw glanced at Lightningpaw and Muddypaw, "Really? This'll be my second. What about you Muddypaw?" she chimed in, joining the conversation. She hadn't met Muddypaw yet but she knew Lightningpaw. She always got this feeling around him and she didn't know what it was, so she always ignored it, figuring it was just herself making it up subconsciously.

Muddypaw looked over at Littlepaw "Well, I was just apprenticed remember? This is my second patrol" he mewed "But I guess you could go on two quickly" he admitted, blushing at it being his first.

Littlepaw smiled, ""Oh yeah I remember. That's pretty cool you got to go on two patrols already." she mewed, eyes glinting in amusement. She suspected this was his first patrol and not his second, but she wasn't gonna call him out on it.

Freckleface nodded stiffly at Webtail's words, following him and the apprentices. She scented the air for prey and caught the scent of a vole on the soft breeze. After checking the wind, making sure it blew towards her, she dropped smoothly into a hunter's crouch and stalked towards it. Pouncing on it, she killed it with a swift and painless bite to the neck. She raised her head, green eyes directed to the sky, and let StarClan enter back into her mind. She knew their ancestors hadn't abandoned them to cats like Webtail. She closed her eyes, breeze ruffling her pretty freckled fur, and whispered so that the usurper couldn't hear her: "Thank you, StarClan, for the life of this prey. Please bless us to get through these trying times until you return." Suddenly feeling reassured, she gave the clear blue sky one of her rare smiles, knowing Webtail could see and, for some reason, not caring. He knows I believe in StarClan. He probably heard me. But I'll stay here, for Leopardfang. He just has to deal with knowing that I know the truth of it.She took the fresh kill in her jaws and padded defiantly over to her mentor's son, burying the vole with a few efficient moves of her slender paws. Her green eyes rebelliously stared into Webtail's before she stalked coldly beyond him.
