Wishpaw sat down by the fresh-kill pile, grooming herself. She noticed that the pile was getting low. She didn't want to go out alone, her mentor and her mother usually wanted her to go out with someone. She glanced around, hoping that a patrol would be leaving soon. She could possibly join them. She flicked her tail, standing up and stretching.

Vinepaw trotted out of Darkstar's den; she had been putting new hay bedding into her nest. She saw Wishpaw sitting by the fresh kill pile and headed her way, noticing that it was low. "Hey Wishpaw" she mewed, standing across the pile from the other apprentice. "Are you waiting for someone?" she asked, figuring Wishpaw was waiting for her mentor or someone to go out out with. She waved her long fluffy tail behind her, hoping Wishpaw was leaving camp and she could tag along.

Cloverpool padded out of the warriors den. "I belive she wants to go out on a patrol. Isn't that right dear?" The queen meowed flicking her tail.

Sedgepaw appeared, he padded over to the group of she-cats and sat down "If this is a patrol I'll be up for it" he purred warmly.

Scorchfrost trotted towards the three apprentices. "You three ought to have a warrior with you," he said matter-of-factly. "I better get out and stretch my legs; it's been too long since my last patrol." Things were hectic since Thinstripe's passing and Pepper's birth, he hadn't given himself time to do his duties as a warrior.

Blizzardpaw walked towards the group right behind her brother, even if they weren’t kits anymore they still were very close to each other, probably to the point where it wasn’t unusual to see them together if one of them wasn’t busy training with their mentor “Can I join too?” She meowed in her usual cheerful tone.

Scochfrost purred. "Only trying to flatter you, Cloverpool," he teased quietly. He nodded at Blizzardpaw, encouraging her to join. He shook out a few strands of hay from his already wayward fur and looked to Cloverpool. "If you want to lead us out, be my guest."

Wishpaw smiled, glad that a patrol had formed around her. This would be a chance to gain some new friends, and impress some of the warriors, and one of them was her mother!
She patiently waited for one of the warriors to lead them out. This would be Wishpaw's first patrol with other cats besides her mentor. Well, her former mentor at least.

Sedgepaw looked confused "Are you sure? She was just made an apprentice not too long ago" he mewed, apprentices never led out others, usually warriors, what if Wishpaw got them lost?

When Wishpaw heard her name, her head quickly raised to look at her mother.
When Sedgepaw made his comment, her head lowered a bit.
"And? I can lead a patrol out of the barn as easily as I can walk on my own paws!" She retorted.
Self-consciousness began filling her head with thoughts.
Are they doubting me because of my half-Clan origins? She thought, shivering.
She shook her head.
What am I thinking? He probably doesn't even know!
She lifted her head higher, trying to act unfazed by Sedgepaw's comment.

Sedgepaw sighed "She might get us lost" he mewed in a more heavier tone. True he might of sounded rude, but he really wasn't trying to be if that really was the case, he wasn't judging her in any sort of way, he was just pointing out the truth.

OOC: Clov's, if she's a queen you cant have her on a patrol XD

OOC: Well her kits are almost all apprentices and they've been weaned most of her bbys except for Spottedkit, Badgerkit, and Blazingkit are apprentices lol
