Patrol Time [Open]

Breezeheart sat at the enterance of the Windclan camp. She said she was going to leader a patrol around the territory to check for some rogues that the Shadowclan leader had mentioned, and maybe a few other things if they managed to appear. She couldn't help but be slightly paranoid as to what Thunderclan will do seeing how they were driven from their home. Would they come, and try to drive Windclan out? Well they could try, but she knew that her clan would see to it that they weren't. For now the black warrior sat and waited on some apprentices, and maybe some warriors to join her.

Cedarfur padded out of the warrior's den and gave a yawn. He'd had a great nights sleep, one of the best he'd had since Icestorm's accident. Just thinking about his brother and Lightfoot made the tall tom shiver, and he was desperate for some way to get his mind off that horrible day. Glancing around, he noticed his mate Breezepelt sitting by the entrance. Perfect! Trotting over to the beautiful she-cat, Cedarfur gave a purr of happiness. "Going on a patrol?" He nudged her on the cheek, his mood lifting at the thought of patrolling with her.

Horsepaw slowly peeked out of the apprentice's den only to see her mentor sitting near the entrance waiting for cats to patrol with. She had been avoiding patrols, it just caused her anxiety to go through the roof knowing that she could be attacked. But, she was the leaders daughter and Breezeheart was probably getting suspicious. So slowly she padded out of the apprentice's den and to the growing group of cats. "C-can I join?" she asked cautiously.

ooc: I didn't even know Breeze had an apprentice. I'm so sorry.

Breezeheart let out a small purr when Cedarfur nudged her on the check. She rubbed her head slightly back against his. "Yeah, you are free to join if you want." The black warrior said. Her attention was drawn away when she saw her apprentice approaching slowly, and then asked to join. "Of course you can join Horsepaw." She looked around, and then decided this small group was enough. "Let's get going before this patrol gets any larger." She stood, and then walked out of the camp, making sure the others were following.

Cedarfur gave a soft smile to Horsepaw as the apprentice walked up. Her timid nature reminded him of Smokepelt and soon, they were off. A patrol, a great way to get my mind off things. Giving a relieved sigh, the abnormally tall tom padded next to Breezeheart. "I suppose we'll be doing some hunting today? I feel like running." Cedarfur meowed with a smile, one stride for him counted as at least two for Horsepaw, so he tried to slow down his pace a bit.

OOC: Its okay

IC: Horsepaw gave a small, barely noticeable nod before heading out of the camp with the group. As soon as they left the entrance her anxieties hit her, and instinctively her ears folded back and her walking started to slow. As soon as she realized it though she attempted to correct herself. I've got to distract myself! she thought as she noticed Cedarfur slowing down for her. Oh! How nice! she thought.

"I was more so thinking we check the borders to see if any rogues have been around. Thrushstar's warning about them last gathering has me a little bit on edge. So I just wanted to check it out myself." She said speaking loud enough so they would hear her since she was walking in front. Even if they somehow managed to convince her other wise about hunting instead of checking the borders, she would still come out here and check anyway with or without a patrol. She figured there wouldn't be anything around, but she just had to make sure.

Cedarfur admired his mate's stubborn attitude and gave a simple purr. "Sounds like a plan." He meowed with a smile. The three of them walked in silence for a little while until the silence got awkward. "So Horsepaw, how's life as an apprentice?" The tall tom asked, looking down to the young cat as he walked next to her.

Rogues!?! Horsepaw thought before being snapped back into reality by Cedarfur's question. "Oh! Its good I suppose. I mean I get to learn a bunch of new things. And I've made some friends...." she mewed in reply.

Breezeheart listened in on her mates, and apprentice's conversation. She didn't really have an input on this conversation, but it was nice to see them getting along. It would have been a disaster if they didn't. She kept her eyes trained on what was in front of her. "We should be almost to the border here in a moment. We are going to start near the fourtrees, and then head all the way to the trees on the far side of our territory." There were some trees on the edge of their territory close to where the Thunder path was.

Oh... that's a long patrol! But, I suppose it could be longer... she thought as she heard Breezeheart's plan for their patrol.

"That's good to hear." He meowed with a smile. Cedarfur followed Breezeheart, not objecting to her plan for the patrol. It did seem a little drawn out, but with everything going on, he understood her concern. I wonder if we'll run into any rouges or trespassers? The tall tom gave his fur a shake as the trio walked in silence towards the border.

Breezeheart came to a halt when the finally reached the scent markers they had in place just before the fourtrees. "Alright, let's check around for any signs of something that doesn't belong here. After that we will get a move on following the border." The black warrior informed the other two she had with her. She didn't expect there to anything this close between the four clans but who knows what would be found in neutral territory. Even so she didn't have to worry about the fourtrees, the other clans can worry about that.

Horsepaw nodded and looked around, with her eyes and her nose. All she could see was the average border and all she could scent was mostly Windclan, with other clan scents mixed in from the breeze passing over Fourtrees. But still, it was difficult to not be anxious about looking for something threatening. "I dont see anything...." she mewed.

Cedarfur padded behind Breezeheart and her apprentice, keeping a watchful eye out for anything weird. "Keep looking," he reminded Horsepaw. "You never know when something might jump out of a bush." Cedarfur added, sniffing around cautiously.
