Goodbye.. Pinepaw(Open)

Nettlepaw finally reached camp and pushed = through the crowd and saw his dead beaten sister, "What in all of Starclan happened!?" he hissed, letting his anger take the best of him "Who did this to her!? ILL RIP THEM TO SHREDS" he growled, enraging to a yell. He turned to Brairpaw "Where did you find her?" he asked, aggression in his voice

Mistpaw, too shocked at Pinepaw's death, didn't react to Eaglefeather's touch. She dragged her gaze to Thrushstar, finding comfort in the fact that he vowed to find her murderer. The pale apprentice looked up in surprise as Nettlepaw pushed through the crowd, visibly enraged. Seeing her brother like that shocked Mistpaw out of her trance-like state. She padded beside him, her icy blue eyes full of sorrow. "Nettlepaw, calm down," she murmured. "Walking around with a mind clouded in anger will solve nothing. We need to think about this problem logically. If you had been more observant, you'd realize Pinepaw was found in the Carrion Place. Her pelt stinks of rats and rubbish," Mistpaw reasoned, being more kind and tolerant with her brother than she normally would have with any other cat.

"But Pinepaw needs to be avenged for!"he crooked, saddness replaced most of the anger that bubbled inside him, he leaned onto his sister, needing her comfort.

Ferretpaw shook her head. "Don't worry about vengeance, Nettlepaw," she whispered, trying desperately to keep her cool, "We got rid of a killer once, we do it again. Anyone with the cowardice to kill a such a young cat shouldn't be a challenge at all." She licked her former denmate's body before rising to her feet. "And besides, we shouldn't be so quick to sharpen our claws. We could use a little peace right now."

Webtail listened to his daughter in amazement, his daughter reminded him of Shimmerheart, his mother. A smile could be felt on his face but, did not actually appear. He nodded in agreement to her, pride warming his chilled pelt.

"I swear on Starclan's name that we'll find her killer," Mistpaw promised, restating Thrushstar's words. She tried her best to comfort Nettlepaw, but her attempts were hardly effective. Mistpaw was better at saying harsh things to cats, not reassuring.

Eaglefeather nodded in agreement "If we do find them they will learn not to mess with ShadowClan" she hissed still looking at the body.

"Do not do anything rash," Thrushstar demanded as he listened the apprentices around him. He didn't need other clans sending in attacks because his clan decided to take justice into their own paws. "You will not do... anything unless I say so." It angered him that these apprentices wouldn't wait on him to do something about this. He was not going to let them disrespect him. He needed to think this through. The only cats who are even remotely able to reach Carrionplace to dump a body was possibly Skyclan, but they wouldn't even go near the place. Their territory was too far away and it would be pointless to hide a Shadowclan body in Shadowclan territory. The other clans couldn't even reach Carrionplace without Shadowclan knowing.

A low growl escaped from the leader's throat as his tail lashed about behind him and his ears fell flat on his head. His gaze quickly scanned the clearing, his eyes stopping on each cat for just a second as he looked for any kind of clue as to who had done this. Suddenly, within his realization, all of the work he had just put into reaching out to his clan was shattered. He stopped talking to the apprentices and warriors and suddenly his distrust grew again along with his anger. Jaw clenched shut, he turned and headed for his den again. "I must speak with... Leopardfang. Hold vigil for Pinepaw tonight. We will begin the search for the... murderer at dusk." Thrushstar knew he couldn't trust his clan, and every time he thought he could, something else like this would happen. What force was working here for a Shadowclan cat to murder their own clan mate? Did clans mean nothing anymore? He couldn't tell the apprentices around him who he thought the murderer could be. Not yet. It would come out in due time. Until then, Thrushstar would disappear into the darkness of his den.

Ferretpaw nodded quietly, respectfully laying by her former denmate's body. She feared for what would become of the clan Thrushstar had defended and led so well. It clicked in her mind a few moments after Thrushstar walked away what he must have been thinking. The murderer had to be from ShadowClan itself.

Nettlepaw nodded at Thrushstars words , he then relaized his rashfulness and tears filled his eyes, he tried to blink them away, but he was not strong enough. "I-I'm so s-sorry Pinepaw....I sh-should have b-been there to p-protect you!" He nuzzled his nose into Pinepaws fur, tears rolling down his face

Mistpaw looked up at Thrushstar, nodding. "Of course Thrushstar," she said quickly before looking back to Nettlepaw. "Don't be like that. It's only one cat's fault she died. We'll find that cat, like Thrushstar said," she said quietly.

Briarpaw curled up next to his sister. Sister or mate, both meant the exact same to him

Nettlepaw nodded at his sisters comment, trying to stop his tears
