Goodbye... [OPEN]

In his jaws, Mackerel carried with him two precious bundles. They were young, vulnerable and prone to chills in their young age. But this had to be done, the pair couldn't afford to raise two young kits while on the move. They had no choice but to leave their kits with Coalfur's former clan in hopes they'd have a better life here.

Collecting some moss, the tom scrapped together a half-baked nest near a patrol route, judging from the scent, it was regularly used. Then he placed the two kits, Hollowkit and Lostkit on the nest, licking them and nuzzling them one last time before he'd leave them to be found. "Be safe, my kittens. One day, we will return for you. Become strong warriors we'd be proud of. We love you." He whispered before taking off in the direction of his mate at High Stones. It was a bitter parting.

Lostkit shivered as her father left her and her sister alone in the home-based nest. The right half of the kitten was white and the left half was black and her eyes once open on the white side of her was a dark almost black gray while her black half had a white almost silver eye, making the kit an oddity that was sure to be made fun of. The kit was rather quiet and was thought to be mute, adding to her oddity. Lostkit moved closer to her sister Hollowkit so they could stay warm and together.

(Hollowkit is a tom)

The young dust brown kit snuggled closer to his sister. He was scared- no, terrified. He cast a glance to the she-kit next to him, protectively wrapping his tail around her. Over and over in his head, he reminded himself that he needed to be brave for his sibling. He just hoped that they would be in a safe place soon.

IC:Moonpaw padded ahead of her patrol to scout ahead, flicking her tail as she scented something unfamiliar. Padding over faster she gasped as she came across two kits in a make-shift. "Guys look at this!! I found some kits all alone, the scent of any parents is stale! Poor things!" The pure white she cat meowed blinking her pale icy blue eye and her light green eye. Poor kits they must be cold! The she cat climbed into the nest and wrapped her soft sleek tail around the kits, her fur wasn't fluffy but it was soft and she wasn't to cold. She gently licked each kits fur to get them warmed up.

Hollowkit hissed at the mysterious cat, swatting at it's tail. He stood in front of his sister, backed arched and spitting. The dark tom attempted to seem threating by fluffing his fur as much a possible. He dug his claws into the cracked dirt, tail lashing and probably smacking his litter mate. "Who are you?" He demanded, teeth bared.

Deadpaw heard Moonpaw and some other voice so he pelted to catch up to her. He got there and saw Moonpaw wrapped around a pair of kits, one of which was being quite defensive and rude towards her. "Hey!" Deadpaw yowled assertively. "She is trying to help you! You shouldn't be rude towards someone trying to help you! And your hitting your littermate with your tail!" Deadpaw yowled as he looked the kit in the eye.

"Oh aren't you cute! I'm Moonpaw of Thunderclan. And a better question is what are you doing in our territory? Where are your parents?" The white she cat meowed blinking her multi-colored eyes. She smiled at the kit. "What's your name little one?"

Lostkit opened her dark gray almost black eye and her white almost silver eye and blinked. Her half white and half black tail flicked her brother to calm down. Getting to her her paws she put one black one on her brothers shoulder to stop him, ignoring her brothers tail. "Stop." She only said one word, giving him a pointed look.

Moonpaw cast her multi-colored eyes to Deadpaw then quickly looked to the half white half black she cat in wonder. "You're a very beautiful kit. And you are a handsome tom." She purred looking at the she kits brother.

Hollowkit looked at his sister, but then huffed and calmed down. He smoothed his fur and relaxed his back, but he still held his defensive position. Standing close to Lostkit, he glared at the cats before him. "I'm Hollowkit," He growled. He used his tail to point to Lostkit. "And this is Lostkit. Our father left us here. That's all you need to know." He ignored the she-cat compliment.

Deadpaw growled at the kit and folded his ears back. He thinks he can just withhold information to a cat who is trying to help him! Kits! he thought angrily. Deadpaw turned and padded away and headed for the rest of the patrol.

Hollowkit spat at the tom's general direction. The poor kit was stressed with his father suddenly leaving him in an foreign place. At least the other cat was a bit nice. He turns his attention to said cat, realizing she was still there."Why are you still here?"

"Well I can't leave two kits out in the forest, there are badgers and foxes and hawks and owls that would take a kit away in a second, with out a second thought." Moonpaw meowed flicking his tail.

Hollowkit gulped at the thought of predators, causing him to shift ever closer to Lostkit. He seen a cat against a fox, and wished he never did. He didn't ever want to think what one might do to him. "W-where are you taking us then?" He meowed nervously.

Bluesong, who stood near the entrance, guarded the camp. She heard the faint sound of voices. The she-cat left her post and followed the sound. What she came upon shocked her.
"Moonpaw? Deadpaw?" Bluesong asked.
