Goodbye.. Pinepaw(Open)

Briarpaw respectfully laid the beaten apprentice on the camp floor, dropping down, he let out a wail to alert the other cats

Mistpaw returned to camp only a few heartbeats after Briarpaw laid Pinepaw down. The silver and white apprentice immediately stopped in her tracks, grief and disbelief crashing down on her like a tidal wave. It shocked Mistpaw. She had never felt an emotion this strong before. Breaking out of her frozen stance, she slowly approached her dead sister, hesitantly burying her muzzle into the dead she cat's rotting pelt. "Pinepaw..." she muttered quietly, grief lacing her broken mew. She ignored the foul scent coming from her sister's pelt, focussing only on the faint traces of the scent of Pinepaw before her death.

Ferretpaw felt her throat close. "Oh, StarClan..." she whispered. Pinepaw was dead, and it had been a vile, cruel way to go.

Eaglefeather walked behind her daughter "What h-" she was cut off my seeing a body of an apprentice "P-Pinepaw is dead?" she shook her head and looked at Briarpaw and Mistpaw "How did you find her body?" she asked with grief in her eyes.

"Sh-Sh-She w-was l-like th-this a-at c-carri-ionp-place" Briarpaw stammered Pinepaw! How could i let this happen to my best friend! We were going to rule together....

She walked closer to the body and sniffed "Smells like it...." she murmured "Who would have done this?" she asked herself, she looked at Mistpaw "You probably have better scent than me, you try" she mewed.

Webtail heard the wail and soon followed after his mate and looked down at Pinepaw. After a moment of thinking if he even deserved to do, he let himself bury his muzzle in the apprentice's fur. He tried to remember that the rotting corpse used to be the lively kit and apprentice that made ShadowClan brighter. He forced himself to take a step away and stand up straight once more.

Eaglefeather looked at Webtail "D-Do you know who?" she needed to know, who ever did this must need to pay.

"What's going... on?" As soon as the distressed wails reached his den, Thrushstar leaped to his feet and rushed out to see what had happened. In between the cries, he had heard the name Pinepaw, but couldn't make out why until he saw the body lying in the middle of the camp surrounded by cats deep in sorrow. As his eyes locked onto the dead apprentice, the leader paused, his head suddenly a mix of emotions: confusion, worry, and anger being the prominent three. "What happened here?" He needed the details. Just by the looks of it, however, Thrushstar could tell that this wasn't an accident.

"Pinepaw was found dead in carrionplace" Briarpaw said shakily

"We don't know who did it either" Eaglefeather added looking down at the body.

"Oh, Pinepaw!" she whispered, shaking her head and nuzzling the limp body. "Who would do something like this? Pinepaw was so young, how could this happen to her?"

Mistpaw was silent, staring at her sister with a dull, emotionless gaze. Her world had been turned upside down with the discovery of her sister's death. She didn't know what to think any more. Her family was crumbling down around her, and there was nothing she could do to stop it. Mistpaw never realized just how much she actually cared for her siblings, until they were gone.

Eaglefeather looked at Mistpaw, her eyes still filled with grief. She walked closer to her and sat down, she licked her ear and stared t Pinepaw's lifeless body.

Thrushstar listened as they explained the situation, and all he could do was narrow his eyes as he moved closer to Pinepaw's body. He knew that at this point, scent would be out of the question, but he wanted to investigate further. A low growl escaped his throat as his tail lashed about behind him. "We will find who... did this," he said. "They will receive judgment for... what they have done. If this was another clan, they... will regret it." he hissed.
