Icedkit, Scorchkit and Squirrelkit's Apprentice Ceremony

They still hadn't gotten their territory back. Life moved on regardless of circumstance, and Darkflight jumped up to the same rock that she'd appointed her new deputy. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under this rock for a clan meeting!"

Thinstripe padded sleepily out of the warriors den and sat down.

Gentlepaw settled herself down next to Thinstripe, wondering who would be the newest apprentices.

Scorchkit wound his tail around Thinstripe's leg in a brief display of affection before marching to the front with a glint in his eye. He stayed solemnly silent and stared up at Darkfight, hoping that she'd be just as good a leader as a deputy. He turned to look at his mother, excitement in his gaze. He grinned at her, swishing his tail around his paws. I'm finally not holed up in that stupid nursery!

Gentlepaw's gaze briefly flitted between Scorchkit and Thinstripe. Her friend's kit, becoming an apprentice. Who would have ever thought time could pass by so quickly? It seemed like just yesterday when Gentlepaw was fresh out of the nursery, meeting the apprentice Thinpaw for the first time. Now Thinstripes kit was growing older. Not to mention Gentlepaw would soon be a warrior.

Thinstripe smiled at Scorchkit "Don't mess this thing up you little furball" she purred with amusement.

Squirrelkit heard the call and bounded as fast as she could in front of the rock, almost falling over when she tried to stop. I think I know what this is!! she thought.

Bluesong padded over and settled down. Her glinting eyes focusing over on the kit then up to Darkflight.

OoC: Where are they?

Icedkit slid out of the shadows, holding his silver tabby head high.

Ooc: I'm not even sure, let's assume unmarked land beyond the territories or something

Scorchkit looked at his peers, smiling proudly. He squared his huge shoulders and tried not to show his disappointment in their current living conditions. He was sure that as soon as there was a larger fighting force, ThunderClan would be able to rise above the death of Spottedstar and take back their home. That's where the newly appointed apprentices would come in. This was the first step.

Seeing that all three kits had appeared, Darkflight began, smiling at them as she spoke. "Scorchkit, Squirrelkit, and Icedkit, please step forward."

Squirrelkit bounced forward, unable to hold her excitement.

Scorchkit wobbled forward on unsteady legs, preparing for the moment when his name would change. For a brief moment, he pondered his warrior name. Scorchflame? What about Scorchstrike? Maybe even Scorchstar! Don't get ahead of yourself. Stick with Scorchpaw for now.

OoC: Sorry for double posting but are we finishing this or...?

Ooc- sorry, I was trying to get more warriors for mentors. I don't like piling apprentices up on people.

Ic- "Icedkit, Scorchkit, and Squirrelkit, from this moment forward, until you receive your warrior names you will be known as Icedpaw, Scorchpaw, and Squirrelpaw. Your mentors will be Bluesong, Gentlenose, and Tulipheart, respectively." The near-black leader turned her gaze to the two latter warriors. "Though you are young I believe you can teach them well."
