Patrol for Wildpaw

Crowstar sat at the entrance of camp waiting on his apprentice.

Wildpaw bounded out of the Apprentice's Den towards his mentor. "Hey Crowstar! What do you have planned for today?" he asked, flicking his tail excitedly.

"We are going on a patrol around the territory. First stop Thunderclan border." The leader said. "Come on let's go." Crowstar said before heading out the camp.

"Cool!" the apprentice said, padding along behind his mentor. He wondered what ThunderClan smelled like.

Eventually they reached the border, and the leader came to a halt. "What do you smell?"

Wildpaw put his nose close to the ground and sniffed. Besides the obvious scent of his own clan, he could detect something else. "It smells strange. Is that ThunderClan's scent?"

"Yes it is." He said to his apprentice. "Get that scent in your mind." He said. He waited for a moment before they would travel over to Shadowclan's border. "Got it? Okay lets go." He said walking away from the area.

He committed the scent to memory before turning to follow. "Where are we going next?"

"Shadowclan." The leader replied. It didn't take long to reach the border. "What do you smell?"

Another strange scent hit his nose. This smell was very different than ThunderClan. This scent smelled more piney. "ShadowClan smells different too."

"Get that one in your head too." He said. He patiently waited for the apprentice to get used to it, and then spoke again. "Alright we are done. Let's go home." The leader said walking away from the border back towards home.
