Wildpaw's Assessment

Crowstar waited at the entrance of the Skyclan camp for his apprentice.

Wildpaw yawned as he exited the apprentices' den. He noticed Crowstar waiting for him, so he padded over to him. "What're we gonna do today?"

"It's time for your assessment. I want you to go out and catch three pieces of prey on your own. I will be watching but you won't see me." He said. "Okay go."

Wildpaw nodded excitedly. He headed out to the territory and wandered quietly until he saw some prey. Slowly stalking it, he crept up until he could pounce on it. He quickly killed it and buried it so he could come back and get it.

He wandered a bit more, and snuck up on a bird, pouncing on it and pinning its wings down so he could quickly kill it. After burying that piece of prey as well, he headed off to catch his third piece.

After a few minutes, he found a good sized mouse scurrying around. Sneaking around, making sure it was unaware of his presence. After slowly sneaking closer to it, he pounced, nearly missing. However, he scooped it up with his claws and slammed it down, stunning it. A quick bite to the back of the neck ended its life quickly. He gathered up the other two pieces of prey and headed back to Crowstar.

Crowstar watched as he got the three pieces of prey. He was proud of his apprentice. When the third was caught the leader headed back to the spot where he met his apprentice. "Good job. Go add you prey to the pile, and go rest up." The leader would have to do his warrior ceremony some time soon.
