Wildpaw's Ceremony

Spottedstar jumped atop the Highrock and yowled for her clan. A new warrior to come soon.

Lightningstrike sauntered into camp, holding a few pieces of prey in his jaws. Spitting the creatures out, he smiled and sat down on the hard ground. After a little bit, the tom shifted to get comfortable and looked up at Spottedstar.

Dapplepaw padded out to the clearing where highrock was. He waved with his tail to Lightningstrike, and sat.

IC: Wildpaw padded into camp, a mouse dangling from her jaws. Feeling proud of her catch as she placed it on the fresh-kill pile, although have been an apprentice for a while now, the she-cat wandered when she will become a warrior. A loyal, ThunderClan warrior. She had good training with her mentor, Sunface, and Wildpaw felt ready. Of course, it was natural for an apprentice to feel the excitement of completing their training and becoming a warrior, after training so hard and long to earn the position in their Clan.

Heading towards the apprentices' den to rest from her hunting, Spottedstar had called the Clan. Stopping in her tracks, Wildpaw turned and headed towards Highrock to gather with the other cats, spotting Lightningstrike and Dapplepaw. Turning her gaze towards Spottedstar as the she-cat sat not too far from Highrock, she felt a small sadness of the previous ThunderClan leader, Dewstar. ThunderClan had missed her deeply, but things had changed, and it was time for the new leader to shine and lead ThunderClan to victory.

"Wildpaw, please step forward" she mewed before continuing. "I, Spottedstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in his turn. Wildpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Shock ran through Wildpaw. Yes, it was her warrior ceremony! And so unexpected. Stepping forward, the she-cat looked at Spottedstar with excitement sparkling in her eyes. The ceremony only an apprentice could dream for, and finally, Wildpaw could serve her Clan as a warrior. Thank you, Sunface, she thought, thankful at the fact her mentor trained Wildpaw well. "I do," she finally mewed, prepared for her warrior name.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I grant you your warrior name. From this day on, you shall be called Wildfire. StarClan honors your loyaty and dedication, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan." She jumped down and rested her muzzle on her head.

Wildfire, she thought, realising how the name suits her. Wildfire... Wildfire, she repeated. As Spottedstar leaped down to rest her muzzle on Wildfire's head, Wildfire continued the tradition by letting out a soft lick on her leader's shoulder.
