| Ashwing padded out at her leader's call. As deputy, it was part of her job to recommend mentors for apprentices. Was this Maizekit's ceremony? Most likely. | The pink-hued tom kit padded out of the nursery at the prompting of his mother and a few other queens. Maizekit's yellow eyes trailed over to the group of cats gathering around the Tallrock and he padded over. He hadn't been informed that it was his apprentice ceremony, so he whispered aloud to nobody in particular, "What is going on?" | "Tonight we gather to make this kit an apprentice," Sablestar began. "Maizekit, from tonight until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Maizepaw. Your mentor will be Ashwing. May she teach you everything she knows." Sablestar hopped down from the Tallrock and joined in the chanting. ______________________________________
